FontSnob that's good to hear. I bet they both loved the attention Grin

Soubriquet · 02/06/2017 18:22

Just had to rush madam to the vet

Her eye had all swollen shut and she kept pawing at it and rubbing on the floor.

Got her there, and they think she's been stung by something.

It's her bottom lid that's swollen not her eye. She's got some drops I've got to put in twice a day for a week. If she's no better in a week, she's going to have to be sedated and have a full examination.Sad

So fingers crossed these drop stuff work

BiteyShark · 02/06/2017 18:36

Soubriquet your poor girl. Hoping the drops work quickly.

Soubriquet · 02/06/2017 18:44

Yeah I hope so £42!!

BiteyShark · 02/06/2017 19:03

How are you at putting drops in? I find anything like that so hard Sad

Soubriquet · 02/06/2017 19:09

I'll be fine

OP posts:
SkeletonSkins · 02/06/2017 19:32

Ohhh no poor puppy!! Everything crossed the drops sort her out.

BiteyShark · 02/06/2017 20:24

Anyone else finding lots of ticks? Normally the tick twizzler works but just found a bloody stubborn one right at the front of his head which would not come out whole Sad

Soubriquet · 02/06/2017 20:28

No. I've used a spot on for Lexa that covers fleas, ticks, lice and even mozzies

OP posts:
BiteyShark · 02/06/2017 20:35

I was using advocate and a tick collar but still finding ticks so hoping that a pill we have will work (waiting to give it to him as it's in place of the advocate) but in the mean time finding the little buggers in his fur Sad

Wolfiefan · 02/06/2017 20:46

Oh no Soubriquet! Get well soon pup.
Not found ticks yet.
Had a day out at a show again today.
Outing myself but about to be kicked of FB group often recommended here as I said it was unkind to leave a pup for 6 hours without a wee and adult dog for 9. True examples. But I'm rude to suggest it's not Ok. FFS. Angry

bluetongue · 02/06/2017 23:59

Bluepuppy sends doggy get well soon wishes to Lexa Soubriquet Smile

Skeleton the only other option for leaving my house is through the back door and then out the garage / carport door but there's no barrier between the backdoor where the pet door is and the garage door so it would be an effort to keep pup in without him making a whippetty dash for freedom! It almost needs a diagram to explain properly Grin

I get you can't post a pic of your handsome whippysnip Heidi, I feel a bit the same at the moment. What colour and markings does he have so at least I can picture his whippety handsomeness in my head? Mine is fawn brindle with white legs and chest, a white blaze and a black muzzle.

bluetongue · 03/06/2017 00:01

Oh and no ticks where I live as well as no fox poo. Just feeling mornings at the moment Smile

bluetongue · 03/06/2017 00:01

Freezing not feeling Grin

Soubriquet · 03/06/2017 08:00

Hmm eye is perfectly fine today...

Little madam worrying me for nothing. Thank god though

Wolfiefan · 03/06/2017 08:55

Thank goodness. She's just keeping you on your toes!

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 08:55

That's good news Grin. They like to worry us Sad

Soubriquet · 03/06/2017 09:41

They do.

Dh isn't happy. 12 hours...that's all you had to wait and you could have saved £42!! But I do worry especially with an eye injury.

OP posts:
bluetongue · 03/06/2017 10:42

Money well spent for peace of mind if nothing else I think. Eyes are one of those things you don't want to mess around with.

Bluepuppy went for a walk on the beach this morning. He's doing really well with walking on the lead and he was very well behaved Smile

Soubriquet · 03/06/2017 10:57

I can tell ratbag is better.

She weed on my bed Angry

OP posts:
bluetongue · 03/06/2017 11:23

You let Lexa on the furniture Shock ( joking obviously as Bluepuppy loves nothing better than sleeping IN my bed.)

FontSnob · 03/06/2017 13:20

We have lost our back sofa to pupface. Still holding onto front room sofa though she seems to be aiming to eat it from the ground up to serve us right for it letting her sit on it.

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 13:35

Soubriquet I bet if you hadn't gone it would have got worse and weekend vet care is bloody expensive (looks at DDog who had to go once over a weekend and once on a bank holiday) Grin
Fortunately DDog prefers to sleep on his bed rather than our sofa.

SkeletonSkins · 03/06/2017 17:30

wolfie not seen the post but very surprised that others in that group aren't saying the same? That's far too long without a wee, poor things.

Successfull morning at flyball, he was friendly, got stuck in learning the basics, but not so successful afternoon when he decided to keep barking at my mum who had popped round. Two steps forward, one step back!

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 17:53

Wolf hope they didn't boot you off?

Skeleton it sounds like DPup is doing well though with new tricks and training. I think they tend to get a bit more vocal around that age. Our dog never used to bark but it now very quick to tell me that there is a strange noise or a flapping bag.
