DDog managed to get hold of and eat three of my migraine pills. Vet doesn't seem too optimistic but has said she'll do everything she can. I won't know anything until tomorrow morning but please please, if you're reading this, send positive thoughts our way, I know he's only a dog but he's a part of my family. Sad

Come on little dog. You can do it. No symbol for 'bone' so will have to send you a dog Biscuit. And some Flowers for your owners.

Glad he is still with us - vets often err on the pessimistic side. Hopefully he will be his normal self soon

I stopped off at the vet's on the way home from work to get an update. This morning things were looking bad, his heart rate was very uneven and he wasn't looking very "with it" apparently.

This afternoon however he has eaten some food, been to the loo and even chewed through his catheter.

One of the vets brought him out for us (I went with DH and the DCs) and he's looking good. He was over the moon to see us and I cried like a flipping baby, he was smothered with kisses and cuddles, even DH (who calls him names most of the time) was happy to see him. He wouldn't leave my lap and we stayed with him for about half an hour before the vet took him back to his temporary accommodation.

He wasn't entirely himself, his eyes are still very dilated, and the vets are keeping him in until tomorrow afternoon, but they think he will eventually make a good recovery although it may take time.

I want to dance around the place but I daren't in case he suddenly gets worse! I will be happy once he's home safe and sound.

Your pictures and comments have been amazing, really thank you all from the bottom of my heart, the DCs are loving the pet photos!

Thanks

Brilliant news :) We want a pic of peanut pup in his own bed when he gets home. What breed is he?

WilliamShatner · 19/06/2014 16:46

Thank you for the update.

Your user name showed as the last comment and I almost dreaded clicking to open the thread.

I'm glad I did as it all sounds very good.

What an emotional roller coaster. Your description brought a tear to my hardened heart.

I hope he continues to get better and is soon back home with his family. X
