Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

oh umm hash browns and black forest gateaux together , perhaps not .

I like eggs cooked most ways but many years ago I went to a friends house , she offered to make us both scrambled eggs so I said yes .
she used 3 eggs between the two of us whisked them in a bowl and put them into a cold frying pan then 'cooked' them for about 2 mins on a low light , when I realised she was going to serve them almost raw I asked if she could cook mine a bit more she said no because she likes them soft .
they were then poured onto unbuttered bread !

My love of scrambled eggs ended there and then !

However I trust Florence to be able to cook them properly and serve on hot buttered toast so please can I have some .

( PS friend had no money worries so the lack of eggs and gas to cook them was not a issue )

Morning all.

Scrambled eggs are cooked until fluffy in this café and with a little cream and I can offer with cheese (cheddar or parmigiana) smoked salmon, a few fresh herbs and perhaps a little grated truffle to finish.

I'm glad of the sleep, obviously, but I can't believe I missed the black forest gateau the other morning. It reminds me of a local hotel we used to go to for Sunday lunch as a child. They would bring the pudding trolley round for you to have a good look at all the massive creamy dishes before you picked something. Come to think of it, it's been a while since I saw a pudding trolley.

Don't think I can manage scrambled eggs (or anything creamy) this morning but I'd love some tea and hot buttered toast.

Over here, the cat knows I'm awake and gave "it's breakfast time!" a good shot, before giving up and going back to bed.

I used to love a pudding trolley, I think the nearest thing to it now is a glass fridge with revolving shelves.

They are still around, I'll get one for tomorrow.

Awkward with the beginnings of a cold, so may I have some hot honey and lemon please? I shall sit over on a bean bag so as to not spread it!

It's a proper spring day here in the North west UK, very bright sun that was already warm at 9am ( freezing in the shade though) birds singing and daffs and tulips all over the place .
UUnfortunatelyi can't enjoy any of this as I am now stuck in a windowless building for the next 8 hrs 😧

I forgot to say thank you for my honey and lemon, it helped me get back to sleep!! 😂

DS has woken twice tonight with a bad dream, in need of something nice as I'm awake!! I might have a hot choc with cream and marshmallows

Hot chocolate coming up. I've made a stack of pancakes, proper ones with sweet or savory fillings, or just eat as they are.

Florence has made the new pudding trolley into a waffle station and is making waffles and American pancakes Fernando is on chocolate cocktail duty.

Morning all.

Well it's still chilly but it seems to be getting brighter so the water feature is back in operation but with warm water, adult and child puddle suits available.

We seem to have a glut of rice so kedgeree and nasi goreng will feature today.

Florence has a spread of pastries and Fernando is making gin based cocktails.

I'll make some onigiri for anyone wanting a pack up.

Please can I have some kedgeree and a coffee.

Morning all.

Well it's cold and wet here and I've had a bit of a cough in the night so I think whisky and honey based food maybe with some garlic.

So honey cakes, tea with honey, honey of toast.

Florence is making garlic bread and Fernando is serving whisky/whiskey from around the world.
