Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

Love a bacon butty.

IRL I'm diabetic on low carb to control blood sugar and I love bread.

Here you go @sashh a bacon buttie with bread that magically has no carbs or sugar but tastes like your favourite bread, I wasn't sure what sauce you wanted so there is HP , tomato and horseradish in little bowls ( cos i hate them litte sachets ! ) just over there --->

@sashh Ah I am glad I left the sauce on the side, unlike my friend the put about half a bottle of tomatoe sauce on my bacon buttie a few weeks ago I am a horse raddish or brown sauce fan, so tomato was just ugh .

@Sweetpea1532 , I have one if them at home , I work in a huge warehouse size place that I can't decorate .
Do you remember my thread from a few years ago called something like
' what should I write on my wall'

Aww, your pictures reminds me of DM who used to work in a portakabin inside a factory. She drew doodles of that day's weather and blu-tacked them to the windows.

@ScottBakula I've never tried horseradish on bacon. Pretty sure I've never even heard the words bacon and horseradish in the same sentence before. One to try sometime!

Does Florence have any honey cakes left from the other night? I'm not a whisky drinker but I would love a mulled wine and some sticky honey cake if there's any going.

@MinnieMountain oh, I love to read! I'm so excited that she'll enjoy sleeping on me whilst I read and have a cup of hot coffee at Happy Place Cafe.
@sashh may I please have one of each of your fresh pastries and a pot of coffee? I plan on hanging out for a while with Minnie's cat snoozing on my stomach.

@ScottBakula yes! I remember your 'writing on the wall' thread..it was a really fun one.😅 I believe you ended up putting a red and black wall poster up over the writing.

That's right@Sweetpea1532 , it's a picture of a old fashion lamp , I can't remember everything I wrote but some of it was the price of things like beans bread and petrol, who lived in the house , and loads of other stuff.

@fivetriangulartrees , I tried it for the 1st time because I'd run out of HP, I decided I like it so have it every now and then. I don't know anyone else that has tried it 🤔.

@sashh I don't think I have ever tried honey cakes , please can I have one and a cup of coffee.
Does anyone know were I can buy them irl ?

Morning all.

Lovely wall decorations, I particularly like the cat on the stairs.

Well it looks like Florence will be making more honey cakes as Tesco don't have them.

I'll put out some cheeses and ham for those who don't want a sweet breakfast.

I'll put some lamb in the slow cookers and make roast potatoes later for anyone wanting an Easter roast.

Once Florence is finished baking, I'll get a honey cake to take away and freeze for another day. I'd been looking forward to one, but now I'm nursing what appears to be food poisoning, it'll have to wait.

For now, I'll be in the corner, shivering quietly with a glass of water. I promise I will be clean and fragrant and germ-free while I'm in the cafe, not like IRL.

The lamb and roasted potato lunch sounds fabulous...may I have a pack up since I am flying to the east coast today and all the airlines will have is a pack of pretzels...just wait til I pull out my lamb and roasted potatoes...I may get mobbed.!

@ScottBakula I'm so glad to see headquarters rummaged up your wall thread...looking forward to reading about the good Ole days before the search function was ruined.It was a good one.

@fivetriangulartrees I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well! I'm glad you can at least visit the HPC ...maybe Florence has some saltine soda crackers in the back to help settle you.

@Sweetpea1532 I'll pack it up for you, with veggis and I'll put some gravy in a pot so it doesn't go to mush.

@fivetriangulartrees Florence has made some ginger biscuits to help ease your tum.
