Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Will wanted revival of two pints called last orders, so maybe hoping a decent result on this might kickstart that?
Just watched Joe Sugg teaching Richie some moves, he has good hips.

I don’t think Gio has ever had a complete duffer has he?
Dianne deserves a decent partner this year I think. I’d really like to see Karen get a good one too.

Laura Whitmore was pretty bad. Gio is of course such a good teacher that I think he could have even got into the final with Michelle Visage if not for their Vogue dance.

I think Tom Daly might make an appearance. It would round off his year away from diving.

I had thought he might do it but with one same sex male pairing already I now doubt it. I think Tom would want a male partner so unless they also have a couple of same sex female pairing they would have to have significantly more male contents or they would run out of male pros.

Gio has been very fortunate but can also choreograph to get the best out of his partners, Georgia's rumba and Laura's samba his only criticised routines/missteps that spring to mind. Laura was very unhappy on the show, which was a shame, because when she danced freely along with Ugo and Peter Crouch on the Mo Gilligan show last year, I was struck by now natural and joyful she was. Her Strictly experience made her uncomfortable, which sometimes showed in her dancing. With a different partner and without the Strictly accompanying rumour mill at the time, I think she might have blossomed.
Gio, having had success with Georgia, Laura, Debbie, Faye, Michelle, Ranvir and Rose, needs an Ugo or Anneka now...

Yes, because we already have a male same sex pair I doubt we will get another - which would probably rule out Tom Daley. Unless there is at least one female same sex couple too the M/F balance would be way of with two mal couples.

Won't happen. Coaches Rugby Union, Leicester Tigers and it is during the season.

Jane Moore would have been a good choice she had a strictly dancer on loose women a few months ago and he was showing her some moves, she kind of hinted she would do it !

Yes but if they have two all male couples in the same year it will throw the numbers out (in terms of having enough male pros) unless they also have two same sex female couples and I can't see them stepping up from one same sex couple to four in one year.

I was thinking they would probably have two same sex pairings this year one male, one female but I would be surprised if they have two male pairs.

Oh dear lord....when my DH said I'm not sure you'll like this next announcement I just knew it was flipping Richie, he's everywhere on the Beeb at the moment. Always switch over. I actually even listen to radio 2 on my computer so I can listen to Ken Bruce on delay and ffwd Richie's bits. I really hope he's an early out.

The only one I've heard of is Kym.

I'd prefer if they stayed with mixed-sex pairings (but I loved J&J rumba last year).
