Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Oh I love a bit a Strictly speculation. They've got to have a Lioness after that, surely? Maybe Jill Scott, if there's anyone tall enough to partner her!

Jack Monroe was hinting at something on her Twitter account the other day and there was speculation she might be in the running.

Neighbours farewell tour is not til next year so if they are quick, they could get Stefan Dennis Grin He said 8 years ago he would love to do Strictly!

Ahh of course a Neighbours signing would likely be on the cards!

A lot of the rumours are suffering the BBC were desperate to get a royal signing with it being the jubilee - suggesting Mike Tindall or Lady Louise Windsor - what do we think the chances of that are?

I reckon Mike Tindall could be a good shout, he seems up for a laugh and he's royal but not too royal.

They can also play the ex rugby player card, and they always seem to do well

One bit of interesting gossip will be to see Kai and Nadiya together now that they’re an official couple. Will they couple up more in the pro dances?

Oh I didn't know they were together I thought Nadya was married 😳 I am just settling in they should start appearing randomly on BBC Breakfast and loose women soon. I've seen 3 strictly dancers live this year so have been excited for the new series.

I think it might be a very BBC heavy line up this year as opposed to other network personalities . As it's the BBC centenary

Craig wouldn't mind that, I think he mentioned it before. Courtney Act was brilliant on DWTS Australia when he judged. It would get very marmite reactions on here though.
I watch RuPaul so wouldn't mind at all but it would depend who as Baga/Blu get on my nerves. Cheryl had dancing experience so wouldn't mind seeing them. Have said before would have loved Conchita/Wurst with Graz/Karen. They often switch between persona which would have made for interesting viewing.
If Jack Monroe has signed up they could do the same possibly, taking turns to lead/follow. I cannot think of a drag race UK contestant I would love to see but Davina would be a decent shout or The Vivienne. Kai or Graz can manage them.

Would really love to see ladbabymum Roxanne Hoyle do it, she has been dancing a lot in their social media this year. Before anyone says who, her and her husband have have the last four Christmas number ones!

I doubt any of Lionesses would have been signed up - it wouldn't be compatible with continuing to play football (apart from the lack of time, clash with matches I doubt their contracts would allow it because of the injury risk). The sports people that have done it before retirement have tended to be in individual sports that have major championships periodically and could fit their schedule around Strictly (gymnasts, swimmers) where as those in week in week out team sports football/rugby even summer based cricket have only done it after retirement.

Someone up thread mentioned her but I do not follow her on twitter so have not seen any follows or hints. Tattle would have a field day though. Same as if they had Mrs hinch or Alice Evans, total frothing over there.
