Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Not sure if they announce celebs on weekends but noticed that Claudia Winkleman has Ed Gamble the comedian, Tom Daley and Alex Brooker from The Last Leg on her Saturday Radio 2 show and I wondered if one of them might be a surprise reveal as all are realistic candidates. She hasn't said she's announcing anyone but it could be done in a stealth way like they did with Richie Anderson perhaps. I shall listen in!

Jayde Adams, comedian and this year's designated "surprisingly light on her feet for someone her size" contestant. I've seen her tap dancing and she's pretty good.

yeah she certainly has rhythm. I think people will be surprised. I'm glad she's in. I hope she's not the only larger-than-size12 woman.

But you know what would be really nice - a couple of normal people - perhaps someone who has worked hard for a charity, an NHS worker, a cleaner, bin man, a teaching assistant - someone who really deserves the opportunity. People with some personality.

Or a full series of non celebrities.

I would love to see a proper 'full' series of people's strictly - but I doubt it would ever happen.
