Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

I love Angela scanlon but she's just had a baby, so that's very unlikely.

Craig wouldn't mind that, I think he mentioned it before. Courtney Act was brilliant on DWTS Australia when he judged. It would get very marmite reactions on here though.
I watch RuPaul so wouldn't mind at all but it would depend who as Baga/Blu get on my nerves. Cheryl had dancing experience so wouldn't mind seeing them. Have said before would have loved Conchita/Wurst with Graz/Karen. They often switch between persona which would have made for interesting viewing.
If Jack Monroe has signed up they could do the same possibly, taking turns to lead/follow. I cannot think of a drag race UK contestant I would love to see but Davina would be a decent shout or The Vivienne. Kai or Graz can manage them.

I think Courtney act swapped about didn't they ? I think Ella vaday would be fit in and not be too "edgy' although I think he might be a dancer in real life.

Courtney danced as Courtney for majority of dances/trained as Shane but there were two dances where he was out of drag (one where he took off his wig and make up part way through. It involved a mirror. Played as a big moment and suspect Strictly would try to emulate it, like they did with Rose's music cut to silence, which had been done on DWTS with Nyle). And a same sex dance throughout, which I preferred.

Ella a good shout. They were musical theatre weren't they, so some dance training and not "on" all the time like Baga (don't mind loud personalities but some need an off switch).

Not keen on cape but liked the routine. They also did a same sex foxtrot in all stars but with very lurid suits. Whereas the first tango with the mirror was more of a statement, here I'm taking off my drag, to two men dancing together (seeing as we've had John and Johannes, it would have less impact over here).
The rest were performed as Courtney. They came second in both their series - robbed both times.

They could have Gino D'Campo and Davina de Campo on the same series. If she took the piss out of him for 11 weeks on the trot, I'd enjoy.
Rylan is so good at picking up the moves. On it takes two, when he copies the demos or does a little bit, I'm always darnit. Would have loved him on it but it really won't happen until/unless he needs the work in ten years' time...unless he does a one-off charidee one like Tess or fills in at Xmas, like Matt Lucas did one time on Bake Off su4c.

Zoe Ball was mentioning Richie Anderson doing Strictly on R2 the other morning - I'm sure he's a lovely bloke but I just don't warm to him! And he seems to be on air a lot now! Wonder if they would get any of the GMB lot on - Laura Tobin? Alex Beresford?

Yeah I did like Ella, I love Laura tobin she is a good shout they usually have an ITV person for balance don't they.

Well he's not been competing at the Commonwealth Games. He was doing a rather excellent job as pundit instead

I think Richie Anderson. He is at that stage of his career where he is wanting to be in absolutely everything. Also is a handy footballer so knows how to move.

Baby was born in Feb I think so 6-7 months old now so not sure it's that implausible that she'd take part..

Thank you for clarifying! I wasn't sure because although it sounded like him it's not often you see the tragic presenters out and about. I wouldn't know what Sally Traffic looked like at all
