Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

I didn’t say it was true - merely they were all over it.

And yes it absolutely worked for some lovely couples (including Flavia). But even if there is a sniff of truth about it, strictly is for dancing. It would irk me a bit if it became a way for actively searching for a partner.

There are many dating shows to go on if that is what folk want. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You don’t go on celeb SAS to sniff round the instructors. (Although I see how it could be appealing!)

There are only a few single male pros anyway. Vito is reportedly single having had a fling with his Italian but rumours circling she claimed he was gay and
Neil is single again having had to deny his ex's claims he was always slagging off his fellow dancers, notably Gio
Not sure about Carlos or Cam. Gio maybe single
after Maura. Helen is not a definite signing as if yet and towers above them except Vito. Her ex is seeing his football boss's daughter. Here endeth my clarty sleb twaddle! Wink

When they announce them, they ought to give a little bio: age, height, marital status. Would make pairing up predictions more fun.

at least two of them were in LTRs when they did Strictly, so presumably they didn't sign up with the intention of finding a fella.

Thanks for posting that polka. Wow, she did well. I watched Dancing on wheels with James and Ola judging, back in the day. Caroline Flack won that. Cannot believe Helen and James won Malta open beginners, if she only had two days training. He was only sixteen as well. Amazing accomplishment.
Tony Adams is 1.91m
Would they really give Nadiya a footballer again? She deserves a ringer, really. Luba was benched last year and deserves a break. Would Amy or Nancy work with that height?

I’ve no doubt that Jowita is a cracking dancer. I just get the feeling that it might not be all about making the contestant shine.

I’m all for not hiding your light under a bushel. I just think outshining folk is a miserable watch.
