Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Hmmm - not excited so far but will wait patiently to see how it unfolds - I’d barely heard of Rose this time last year but by the end of it all she and Giovanni were my favourite pairing ever to have been on!

Think Ellie will be paired with Gorka? Don’t know how tall any of the new male pros are though. Am hoping they don’t put Richie with Johannes. Maybe Graziano?

Neil is a funniosity: there was so much rumour that he was behind Katya's choreo and yet, his own routines I haven't ever played back much - except for the Charleston and Ghostbusters with Alex; and am not sure he choreoed them.
His smiling in Alex's tango annoyed me and Nina's tango screwed her over.
Not sure whether he will be paired with Richie, if both are marmite. He, himself, won't have an issue with same sex dancing (he did an Attitude cover and his denial he was gay was my Mum wishes I was) but given Seann's gay dancer joke, I'd imagine producers want to protect him from headlines about his sexuality again.

You know what, I have a lot of time for Neil, he dealt well with that whole unpleasant episode and has never been mean to Katya (from what I can see).

I don’t mind Neil but the grinning/hamming is way too much for me. He needs someone hamming too. They might just cancel eachother out.

Good call for the pairings. I’d love to see Karen have a belter.

Indeed! It says a lot about a person how they behave in these circumstances and I agree with you about Seann (sic).
Also, following their divorce, Karen and Kevin always seemed very pleasant and dignified. It can be done.
We don't want to see folks' dirty linen, especially of the bed variety.

Ellie is 4ft and says she will be the first dwarf on Strictly (her words). There is precedent in the States though, Terra danced with Sasha on DWTS six years ago.
