Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Know nothing about Zara but you just know production would be itching to mention Camilla being a superfan again. (In fairness, if I were her, I'd be saying to the Crown Sod security, I'm off to watch filming).

Sophie Wessex and her daughter Louise have been in the audience previously. They're big fans of the show.

I can't see Lady Louise doing it. She's been kept very much out of the spotlight throughout her childhood and I can't see them thinking this would be a good idea for a first solo public appearance. I think the potential for criticism and trolling would be awful for her.

Zara would be immense.

And aye - the royal entourage at Blackpool.

Beatrice and Eugenie would have very firmly worded correspondence about millinery. (So that folk behind could see)

The lovely Camilla would have a fag area cordoned off behind the bins. Possibly joined by Kate. And Lady Louise would be getting cow eyes made at her by the producers and would be given a beautifully made sequinned carriage harness in anticipation of her being available next year.

I was not impressed Maireas 😡. I’ve never quite forgotten it. We were all excited about being on the telly.

Then we were not.

She will probably be my fastforward finger queen this year. If that Gino horror is in it, he can be king.

Been watching the Commonwealth Games athletics.

I’d love Jess Ennis-Hill, Steve Cram or Paula Radcliffe. I like Michael Johnson too but he’s US-based (and possibly still feeling the effects of his stroke).

Athletes - maybe Andy Pozzi or Aled Davies - not sure how far off retirement they are. Both very articulate.

Want her with Kai as Jojo is too slight (I am size 20 and would choose Kai out of all the male pros). I shall wait for the pairings spoiler before placing my bets. I really hope she smashes it. I also need to rewatch The Outlaws and watch the second series, as she is in it as Julie (but I cannot recall her) so possibly knows Nina Wadia? She is from Bristol, same as Stephen Merchant.
