Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

The tabloids are pushing (again) the idea that there might be a royal-related celeb, eg Mike Tindall, Lady Louise Windsor, Camilla Grin, and one of the more serious suggestions is Sophie Winkleman (aka Lady Frederick Windsor). Very appealing idea but unlikely I'd have thought.

Having Tess's husband vs Claudia's sister would be a nice twist.

Jayde Adams looks like an excellent signing - thank you for that clip. She looks tall. Am switching Graz from Kym to Richie, and giving Kai to Jayde.

I think Kai and Jayde would be a good pairing personality wise. He's funny but quite dry. But I suspect that it's more likely that Kai will be in the same sex pairing with Ritchie and Jayde will get Johannes, which I'm slightly dreading because they might be a bit too loud as a pair.

I don't know how tall the new male pros are though.

A work charabanc trip to a tv show many moons ago.

During the pre show warm up she spoke to us like we were nowt.

We clearly did not treat her with the reverence she felt she deserved. In truth? We just didn’t know her from Adam(s). 🤷🏻‍♀️

That sneery coupon is not a new thing. I presume she thought she was being comical. She wasn’t. She was just bastardin rude. Really bastardin rude.

Even our resident gobshite was silenced and sat with a mouth on like Dame Edna throughout.

She was the main topic of conversation on the way back though. We certainly knew who she was then.

Her lugs must’ve been ablaze.

I regret that my inner Nan was embryonic at that time of my life. Nan will be out in full sequinned force when that woman shoves her trotters in a sparkly sandal.

My allegiance will be with the t’other Adams. 💃

She may stay in a few weeks of paired with Gio, but not sure past Halloween, even Ruth got booted pre Blackpool. Plus cannot shoehorn in Footloose for loose women as used last year, so she may well end up recycling Proclaimers (bad enough when Ed Ballsed it up!)

I didn't get that impression at all. I'm normally quite resistant to Anton's sense of humour but I thought he and Ruth were a very entertaining couple, and she seemed happy to go along with his nonsense.

There are some contestants that always start to believe their own hype. Not sure Ruth did that tbf but do think she had been convinced by Tony Bean they'd get to Blackpool, if went the comedy route.

Ach, just checked - Ruth was one week off Blackpool and went out on a foxtrot (Mack the knife) following two comedy routines. Maybe Anton was right after all and should have stuck to buffoonery than playing it straight. <closes eyes at thought of a comic foxtrot>
