Possibly a pilot to gauge reaction ?
It's still available to watch on Channel 4.
I do hope it becomes a series.

The second house was amazing but I'm glad they stayed. Agree with Kirstie the island was too big. But they did a beautiful job.

Did they say they didn't make back what they invested?

Ie spent £135k and value £65k up?
As he seemed happy with £65k extra value so I assumed that was profit?

I too welled up at the end!

Yes. Makes a change, as they usually always end up profiting from the renovation.

They’d only be in negative equity if they’d borrowed all the funds for the work and were already at or close to zero equity. Not that I disagree it’s daft to spend that much, but it’s a flaw of the programme- are they spending to sell on, or for their own tastes? eg the range cooker was an unnecessary expense but something they loved.

I pretty much loved all the houses in tonight's episode! Think I need to move to Wales lol.

When they said their budget was £75k for the renovations, then Kirstie showed her plans, I was like no way is all that going to get done for that money! They didn't actually reveal how much they spent in the end though, did they?
