I am so excited I am literally sitting here bouncing after watching the 2nd trailer

It's OK I know I'm sad, especially as I really want the "Gene says relax" T-Shirt

Ah good one Hermya

Hermya321 · 16/04/2010 22:20

And according to said piccy dead copper is from M division which according to the history section of the GMP website is the Trafford division.

I feel very very geeky at this moment in time.

I still couldn't hear the Life on Mars bit whenthe camera zoomed in on Ray - am I deaf? I couldn't here it with Shaz, even when I iplayered it repeatedly.

The stars thing is making me think they are on the rocket to Mars like in the US series. I'll feel really short-changed if that is correct.

PictureThis · 16/04/2010 22:27

Keats reminds me of a 'conscience' in the way that he talks to the others and the dead police officer did look similar to Chris in tonights episode.

NoseyNooNoo · 16/04/2010 22:27

Oh, and if they are on a rocket/space ship, I wonder if 6 6 20 is the number of the spaceship?

fartmeistergeneral · 16/04/2010 22:28

The fireman repeated his army number a couple of times and I wondered if it was a date - 27 6 77. My dh just went when I said that.

Dh thinks the LoM music playing is significant as it's when Gene kind of praises them. He said well done to Ray and it played, and it played with Shaz when Gene was urging her to stay.

However, I reckon it's cos Shaz brushed with death last week and Ray brushed with death tonight.

Is there anyone who can answer my question of before re Sam Tyler and the graveyard?

fartmeistergeneral · 16/04/2010 22:29

Picturethis - I thought both those things!!!

Hermya321 · 16/04/2010 22:30

Thanks Nymph!

fartmeistergeneral · 16/04/2010 22:30

And I thought it was significant that Keates said something about when the bell tolls to Gene. Death, no?

NoseyNooNoo · 16/04/2010 22:40

He also said he'd raise him from the earth, or something to that effect. Oh, and obviously 'Ashes to Ashes' is part of the funeral/commital service...

Nymphadora · 16/04/2010 22:43

When the LOM music plays there is also a voice. Anyone think it sounds like the barman fromLOM? Just read that and when I listen it could be.

glinda · 16/04/2010 22:45

Well that's that.... Gene Hunt just lost all sex appeal .... He stood up and applauded the election of Thatcher

Hermya321 · 16/04/2010 22:45

Yeah there was the clink of glasses as well, at least thats what I heard. Maybe it's the Railway Arms.

PictureThis · 16/04/2010 22:47

Maybe the dead policeman is Gene Hunt?

NoseyNooNoo · 16/04/2010 22:48

We reckon it's the barma - and he seemed to know that Sam was from the future...

NoseyNooNoo · 16/04/2010 22:48

barman even

CalmCalmCalm · 17/04/2010 09:47

What do you make of Keat's religious references?

Also, has anyone noticed the red graphic theme? It seems particularly associated with Alex (clothes, trays and other bits and bobs over her side of the office). I only really noticed it last night so not sure if it was there last series. It just seems a bit odd and unnatural.

VJay · 17/04/2010 13:54

That voice was there again when they zoomed in on Ray and the LOM music played, this time I think it said, 'always hoping always hoping' than the same laugh as with Shaz last week.

Not sure about the gravestone in LOM sorry.

As with the stars, I hope they're not on a space ship too.

VJay · 17/04/2010 13:55

Yes the voice does sound like the barman, wasn't his name Winston?

GeorginaWorsley · 17/04/2010 19:13

I thought that about Dahmer,too!
Alex looked twice at Jim as he said it.

draggedthroughahedgebackwards · 17/04/2010 19:19

Yes his name was Winston. You lot are brilliant at picking up the clues, I would have missed most of those. I thought at first the dead policeman was Chris but closer up it doesn't look like him, and I like the Gene Hunt idea. It has to be someone that we know.

Wrt the barman, does anyone remember Quantum Leap? In the final episode of that, Sam thought the barman had some controlling force over where he leapt to. Also the main protagonist was called Sam and his helper was Al. Not really sure what my point is, pure co-incidence. I think I am looking for parallels which are not there, but I loved QL .

EVye · 17/04/2010 21:07

Just watched the last 2 episodes back to back as have been away. Very exciting.

The stars bit was weird. I think each main character is going to get an episode iykwim, partly to aid the story but also as its the last series.

I love the show. Cant wait until next episode, and pray we dont get the same ending as US LoM.

P.S Truly, Madly, Deeply is my all time favourite film and I have liked Alan Rickman since then too

Valpollicella · 17/04/2010 21:26

6620 can also be read as two six (es) one 2...

Isn't that the number that Sam tries to trace back in LoM (Hyde 2612)?

scaryteacher · 17/04/2010 21:31

I thought when they were talking about music they said Mahler, not Mylo, and the for whom the bell tolls bit is Donne I think, and is from no man is an island, and ends ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.
