It's the hair.

brimfull · 09/03/2010 21:33

I got told off for saying 'fuck' too many times
.. in that very hospital

Nettiespagetti · 09/03/2010 21:34

That's what they told me with ds no screaming.

gaelicsheep · 09/03/2010 21:36

The one time I didn't swear at all with was in labour. Quite amazing.

How long's that head MW been doing her job? And she doesn't realise yet that a woman phones the labour ward because she's in labour?!!

MamaGoblin · 09/03/2010 21:36

Ah bugger, Leonie's been transfered downstairs. She was so calm and doing so well! Now she's strapped down and

OMG I cna't watch epidurals!

elmofan · 09/03/2010 21:37

poor leoni

expatinscotland · 09/03/2010 21:37

he is weird looking, but his pain threshold noticeably increased when he screamed and swore.

the professor doing the research was motivated by his wife's experiences in childbirth.

gaelicsheep · 09/03/2010 21:38

with pain I mean

expatinscotland · 09/03/2010 21:38

Fuck, that needle is HUGE. I'm glad I didn't see that.

MamaGoblin · 09/03/2010 21:39

What makes this so sad is these are both healthy, very young women. They ought to be really good contenders for non-interventionalist births, keeping upright and active - look at how it's panning out for both of them! for them.

gaelicsheep · 09/03/2010 21:39

Watching an epidural makes me wince more than any memory of DS's birth - and that's saying something. I really don't think I could do that whole needle in the spine thing - and god I so wish I could!

Megletwantsittobesummer · 09/03/2010 21:40

aww, abbie's boyfriend is lovely.

expatinscotland · 09/03/2010 21:40

They are, Mama. Abbie's sitting way up.

Leoni is 8 days overdue, not progressing and she is exhausted.

Love this programme I think it's my way of being ok about never having anymore myself!! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside such special time

ant3nna · 09/03/2010 21:40

Her mum seems great too.

MamaGoblin · 09/03/2010 21:41

Expat, it's all the fluid and shite dribbling out that made me go all wibbly just now! It's a good thing you can't see them doing it!

expatinscotland · 09/03/2010 21:42

Ross is FAB!

OP posts:
ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 09/03/2010 21:42

OMG watching babies born always makes me proper cry. That young man was lovely.

mowcop · 09/03/2010 21:43

why didn't they deliver on to her chest?

gaelicsheep · 09/03/2010 21:43

It's the wire left coming out that gets me. What if it snags on something and rips out?! But how can I be more scared of a needle in the back than the worst pain known to man? How?

LittleMissBliss · 09/03/2010 21:44

oh god gets me every time. Lovely. What a great family.

notnowbernard · 09/03/2010 21:44

Abbie's mum is lovely and everything but she would DO MY HEAD IN if she were with me during labour. Seriously so

BexieID · 09/03/2010 21:44

Maybe she didn't want her delivered onto chest? I got asked with Erin, but not for Tom.

Nettiespagetti · 09/03/2010 21:44

Maybe she didn't want to

expatinscotland · 09/03/2010 21:44

Leoni's baby doesn't want to come out.
