Yep me too, thanks for linking.

Twas me said about the producers knowing the ending-I i saw it in an interview with two of them. They could have been making it up though!

aristocat · 28/03/2010 15:01

nice link thank you

so many questions - so little time

Ceebee74 · 28/03/2010 15:33

Good link - so many things I have forgotten about!

Aristocat you have hit the nail on the head I think - we are halfway through the series now and not really that much further forward in what we know - are they really going to tie everything up in another 9 episodes??

aristocat · 28/03/2010 15:40

ceebee my DH has given up with it
but i need to see it through!

Ceebee74 · 28/03/2010 15:43

Aristocat funny as my DH gave up with it during series 4, but has come back to it this series as he also needs to know Even though he missed so much, he can still figure out what is going on (as much as any of us can) so maybe it wasn't that important after all

lucykate · 28/03/2010 16:06

i really want to see all the dharma initiative stuff explained now. ages ago there was a scene in one of the dharma places, they showed a shoot which they (as in the dharma people) had to place a canister full of info at the end of each day, thinking it went off somewhere for some kind of analysis, the next scene showed a pile of the canister, unopened in a field. also, if the island is 'the cork in the wine bottle', what does that make the hydra island? and what was with the baby thing, no-one being able to survive giving birth? so many questions!

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 28/03/2010 18:27

Years and years ago when the first series was aired JJ Abrahams said in an interview that the Flight 815 survivors weren't dead and it wasn't a "they're in hell scenario".

So now if it turns out that it is a God/Devil thing going on I will not be impressed.

PlumBumMum · 29/03/2010 11:43

I don't think they are dead, but they being pulled to the island, to be tested

It did open up alot more questions, but like in the blog the 2nd person who responded, we can't expect all answers to come in one episode

I think probably more answers to the whole dharma/others are needed but they could come, after all Ben always took his orders from Jacob so he was always part of the bigger picture

Also I'm nearly sure I watched an interview were the writers said that they had a general idea where it was going but not exactly,
but then when fans started to say they were making it up as they go along the TV company wanted a definite storyline/ending etc so I am hoping most questions will be answered

I assumed it wasn't a rule that MIB could kill Jacob, I assummed he physically wasn't able and that is why he had to get someone else to do it

Remember the old man who was one of the others, Michael tried to kill him back in America and he said the Island won't let you (or something to that effect)

lucykate · 29/03/2010 12:23

as long as they don't do a bobby ewing, it was all a dream ending, will not be happy if that happens, such a cop out.

PlumBumMum · 29/03/2010 12:52

I think it is the other timeline in this series that is causing more confusion as it just opens more questions,
and where is Juilette in the new timeline surely they should have bumped into her??
Is she the mother of Jacks son, hope not think that is too obvious and her & Sawyer should bump into each other BUT just realised Sawyer originally had a child Jack didn't hmm or I'm hust making more bloody questions [aaarrrgggghhhhhh]

Ceebee74 · 29/03/2010 20:16

Did we ever have an explanation for the tall black man who kept appearing in the real world - I vaguely remember he visited Hurley in the hospital and he also had a conversation with Locke in a lift (also in a hospital??) Do you all remember him or am I making him up?

lucykate · 29/03/2010 20:27

no, i remember him. he was shot just before the others made it back to the island. i remember him because the same actor was in the wire.

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 30/03/2010 01:14

Was that the black guy with the young son, the ones who escaped in the boat? Why didn't they have to go back to the island with everyone else. Didn't se see the lad a couple of years older at school in New York or something after Jack, et al got off the island? Michael wasn't it?

aristocat · 30/03/2010 09:33

stripey
no not Michael - this guys name was Matthew & he worked for Widmore.
he visited Hurley in the mental hospital and was usually the chauffeur. i think it was Ben who shot him

PlumBumMum · 30/03/2010 11:11

Yeap aristocat you are right,
BUT Stripey Michael was on the frieghter and had to stop it from going back to the island so died when it blew up

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 30/03/2010 11:35

I remember Matthew now, and also Michael getting blown up. What about Michael's son though, why has he not had to go back to the island?

There is so much stuff to remember in Lost. I do forget major bits until someone says "what about xyz" and then it comes back to me.

I think when its all finished I will have to take a week off work and watch every episode back to back!

PlumBumMum · 30/03/2010 11:39

As I was typing that I was thinking they made a pact to leave Walt alone but not sure if I'm making that up so it will make sense

FreakoidOrganisoid · 31/03/2010 12:26

Grin Grin Grin

paisleyleaf · 02/04/2010 20:25

Sweepstake on the candidateship?
I'm thinking Hurley at the moment (but expect to change my mind. Again).

Merrylegs · 02/04/2010 21:58

Brother!!!

I knew it!

Things just got a whole lot better

aristocat · 03/04/2010 16:17

what happened last night......

cookielove · 03/04/2010 16:25

is it having a season break?

paisleyleaf · 03/04/2010 16:31

last night....

the 3 years ago stuff .... Sun and Jin. Jin had money to deliver to someone for his boss (Sun's dad). The money got confiscated at customs and he couldn't pay it to the man who turned up for it. The man who he was supposed to give it to was whatsisname from the boat, who shot Ben's daughter. And it turns out the money was his fee for killing Jin as Sun's dad knows about them being together. Jin was saved just in time by Sayid.

the island stuff ... Sun and Jin again, NotLocke tells Sun where Jin is, but she doesn't trust him to go with him, they have a chase, she bumps her head and now can't speak english anymore.
Jin's been captured by Widmore on the other island (he has info from Darma days that they want).
Widmore has Desmond - and Sayid (on a mission from NotLocke) has seen that they've got Desmond.

That's the jist. There are other fiddly bits.
Richard's got it together again to organise the group at the beach. NotLocke needs the survivors from the plane/candidates to leave with him, in order for him to leave - which is why he's keen to get Sun, and Jin back.

MrsKitty · 03/04/2010 16:33

One of the best episodes in a while, I thought.

aristocat · 03/04/2010 16:44
