Poor Walter

Crazy Walter is lovely, kind of agreed with Olivia sane Walter didn't actually seem that nice

LostGirl · 15/12/2009 14:28

Agree, Anniek, glad they couldn't replace the pieces of his brain permanently. So was that the end of the series? If so, was very short.

Anniek · 15/12/2009 17:12

No just a Christmas break.... Must admit makes me realise my life must be very sad compared to most American's as I like my Christmas TV...

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2009 20:01

erm - i might need that episode explained to me

Looks like William Bell (Dr Spook) took parts of Walters brain out. Causing him to become so forgetful that he ended up in an asylum.

Those brain parts are Walters memories of how he managed to create a gateway between the two universes.

William Bell then implanted Walters brain parts into other people making them mentally unbalanced.

The soldiers from the other universe want to know how to create the gateway so stole the parts of Walters brain to find out, but for them to work they had to kidnap Walter to reconnect all the correct parts to the correct places.

Which they did but only externally and the parts of the brain died afterwards, so Walter will never be "better".

Overall it made me feel very sorry for Walter, he seems to have been used by William Bell to make William very rich and powerful!

Hope that helps

MrsGokWantsatidyhouse · 03/03/2010 13:34

Ta very muchly

Anniek · 03/03/2010 13:42

Last nights episode was not that relevant to the on going story, so I wouldn't worry about it

It was however yet again a total rip off of another X - Files episode

What you'll probably find is the US sensors didn't like it, might be based on the whole grown man possession of a teenage girls thing? So the network wouldn't show it there, but released it to the international markets because we're not as hypocritical sensitive. Just what I'm assuming!

LostGirl · 03/03/2010 13:57

Ah, I assumed they were showing it just to confuse me even more and wander how Charlie had come back from the dead . Glad I never watched much x-files so can enjoy the episodes without comparison. So Annie, want to fill us in on any vital happenings in season 2 that we are bound to have forgotten about??

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2010 12:58

again i did think was like an x files episode

glad had nothing to do with current series

i await annies explaination for next week

MrsGokWantsatidyhouse · 04/03/2010 21:43

Watched that odd episode on Sky 2 last night. Certainly was an interesting episode, I'll say that much.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/03/2010 16:31

wasn' the last one about deformed people that all lived in Edina?

It's going a bit off kilter don't you think?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/03/2010 17:52

very weird episode

OP posts:
Anniek · 13/03/2010 18:31

Again a bit stand alone except for the comment at the end from Walter

The army were testing a way of effectively making soldiers invisible to the naked eye.

But instead of just effecting the people looking at the soldiers it effected the soldiers on a genetic level and deformed them, and their offspring.

Without the lead scientists knowledge they extended the experiment to the local town Edina, where the lead scientists' wife and daughter were living.

The lead scientist then stayed on in the town to change the original idea, from making the soldiers invisible to making the deformed people seem normally to anyone. However he could only do this while they were physically in the town because the pulse machine couldn't transmit outside of the town limits.

That's why the kid and the butterfly changed once over the town limits.

Quite liked this episode

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2010 22:56

So if they were in the village then why did the boy/mum/sheriff change?

And think for the first time ever - there was no cow

a cow has been in every episode so far, though still havnt worked out why

OP posts:
StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 13/03/2010 23:12

I think the boy/mum/sheriff transformed because Walter switched off the machine in Rose's basement. That much I understood - everything else - I am as befuddled as a very befuddled thing - I'm glad I've found this thread with clever people like anniek to explain things to me. I may have to dye my hair blonde.
