oh happy! it's been far too long since Derren was on TV - and now...twice in one week!

I've seen him live twice now and his shows are fabulous. It's funny though, he's got this kind of tick that they obviously are very good at editing out on TV. Didn't know he was gay.

Friday, Channel 4 at 9pm - he's going to show how he did it - IF he does it that is! I'll be watching.

Greyskull - everything in the ad is backwards too - maybe that's some kind of clue to how he does it?

the problem is for me as well is that i always do notice. but your trying so hard to concentrate on what he says next to make sure that what you noticed wasn't a red herring that you quickly forget about it. then when he reveals at the end i too am left kicking myself because i did notice he had said "daily mail" or something else subtle but completely over-looked it. he's an evil genius.

so is this going to be friday's daily play, or whatever they're called?
and will he say what he thinks the numbers are in advance, or will it be the "pretty girl holding the sealed envelope" routine- which is opened afterwards to display the numbers?

I wonder if he has 48 million envelopes with all the possible combinations. Surely that's unfeasible even without the work needed to "palm" the right one!!

I think it's only 13 million
but then that doesn't make it much easier, does it??

come on MN can answer anything - any theories as to how he's going to do it?

I'm going to have two TVs on tonight, one analogue in the dining-room tuned to BBC and one digital in the living-room tuned to Derren.

I don't know how soon before the official announcement Derren will make his "prediction" but I'm going to keep a very close eye on both!

digital is a few seconds behind isn't it? Or is that just radio?

oooh i'm looking forward to this, i love his shows. would be great to see him live though.

I used to like Derren, then I read his book, and now I completely worship him. It really made me question a lot of other things too, his book. He's very interesting about hypnotism, and makes you highly sceptical of any psychics or mediums. He is also very careful to be honest about what he does. And he's funny and clever. [gushing emoticon]

You're right, PolarBear, it is behind - how much seems to depend on the programme. That was my point, although I got it arse-about-tit. It's unlikely that'll be the way he'll be doing it though.

If he does the digital tv delay thing then he really won't have 'pre'dicted them though.I am fascinated as to how it can be done as an illusion.
