I know I shouldn't watch this but I probably will. Can't beleive Kelly Brook is going to be one of the presenters - I thought she was all Hollywood now. And I thought Jayne Middlemiss was way too cool to be involved in something like this too.

Find it interesting/depressing who the fellows admit to fancying:

Abi - boob job
Rebecca - boob job
Isabella - exercise obsessed fiend
Jayne and Liz - normal looking girls with normal bodies.......and no one admits to finding them attractive...even though they're intelligent and fun.

So does that mean the rest of us have to exercise for an hour 6x per week, and then have plastic surgery on top in order to be appealing to most men? Or am I just having a single woman's paranoid moment? Or, it may just be that Love Island is populated with shallow men....

So, we were talking about the figures of the women on the show....Kelly Brook looks amazing. Is it all her own good genes, or has she too paid a visit to the cosmetic surgeon?

Kelly Brook always looks wonderful - obviously has a great stylist .

Interesting that when Rebecca is asked why she wants to stay on the island, she speaks of Calum as one of the reasons. He didn't mention her at all when asked why he wants to stay.

Yes Duaine got booted off thank goodness (boring bloke IMO). I can not believe they are bringing that 'actress' (not what I would call her) onto the island, Fran and Calum will have their tongues hanging out.

feelingold - I wondered if Rebecca would go for the new bird! And doesn't Calum live in California at least part of the time? He may have that in common with the new girl, and could be interested in maintaining contact after the show if his reputation for being a ladies man/serial shagger is accurate.

It will definitely cause a strange dynamic by introducing a new person into an established group. And in the time honored quest for "good telly" and ratings, I have no doubt that the new girl will be a self absorbed, scheming, shallow glamour girl.

I think bringing someone else in now will ruin it (I know it's crap tv but that's what you want at that time of the evening when your brain is shutting down). She looks so false and plastic and barbie looking, I'm not sure if I want to watch it.

Abi's after Lee now I believe and he likes her! No accounting for taste.

I like Jayne Middlemiss... but Abi really annoys me, I mean all that rapid blinking.. whats all that about?

Paul was sent to another part of the resort to cool down. He has since returned vowing never to drink again.

The new person coming in is a pneumatic blonde from California with a varied and interesting acting career.........

RumMum- Paul got drunk and got really stroppy and wanted to fight Fran, so the security guys had to take him away cos he just wouldn't shut up and they took him to a neighbouring island to cool off for 36 hours. He has now decided to give up booze cos its makes him really aggressive. He's back in now and says he is going to prove he can be good.
I like Jayne too but I can not stand Abi. I thought I was the only one to notice her blinking. I think her mouth moves as fast as her eyes as well cos she's either talking at 60mph or feeding her face just as fast.

Another good point Earlybird (Sat evening!)I hadn't thought about it like that. Liz and Jane are the only ones who have any talent or have done anything vaguely useful.
Mind you - can't believe that there is a big interview with Abi Slaer in the Observer today
(haven't read it yet though - will do so in bed while watching the prog no doubt!)

Well, here's another thought. There are currently more women than men left in the resort. The balance will get even more uneven when they bring in another woman.

Noddyholder - you mentioned, I think on Friday, that there was another new bloke coming in too. There seems to be no evidence of that at the moment. Do you have an "inside scoop" update for us?

Regarding Abi - realise I like her fine when she's larking about with the girls. I really don't like her at all when she's around the blokes. She changes completely.

Oh another thing that made me laugh last night....Isabella speculating on why Du'Aine got booted out. She said something along the lines of "he probably went because he has the lowest public profile of anyone here". What? Made me wonder if she's done alot of stuff that I've managed to miss! Does Isabella have a public profile of any standing - other than having an aristocratic title?

I just kept thinking about Isabella taking Paul home to meet the parents - they'd be so chuffed Can't really imagine him fitting in with all those high society occasions

Tommy - agree Paul probably wouldn't fit in with Isabella's aristo crowd (assuming that's who she hangs out with).

But, Isabella might not want to take Paul anywhere once they leave the island. Last night's previews showed Paul raving about the "gorgeous" new female addition to the island, and Isabella looking miserable at being cast aside. Trouble in paradise!

I'm still in shock that all those blokes are so shallow that they're so excited about the new woman coming in! I reckon she has been paid as an actress (prostitute? ) to come in and flirt outrageously to try and get the on screen bonk.
That's just my view anyway - I really should stop watching this drivel
