Won't be the same without Wogan and we will get nil points thanks to political voting.
The songs will all be crap, some bint will be almost topless, there well be body hair where we don't need to see body hair and more perma tan then you can shake Victoria Beckham at.

There you go no need to watch now

It's being inflicted on me under sufferance, but can i just say, I am howling with laughter at Graham Norton.

'This lady lives in Andorra' pmsl.

Kimi · 16/05/2009 23:38

differentID · 16/05/2009 23:59

yep. See you all in ayear!

FairLadyRantALot · 17/05/2009 09:24

Well...this thread is to long to read, so, will just say what I want to say...

I thought Russia did a fab job hosting it and the presenters weren't as annoying as they sometimes can be....

thought Graham was very good , but did miss Wogan, but I think, Graham was a good choice as a commentator...

Jade did sing fantastic , didn't she, and I was well impressed with the Lord himself being on stage and playing the piano...now that is putting your money where your mouth is...

glad the chances of tactical voting are now reduced and it is a SOngcontest again...

Well done to the UK for coming 5th, think UK should have won, but 5th is certainly better than all those previous zero point years...

But germany, why oh why....hangs head in shame at the german choice...

bebejones · 17/05/2009 10:27

We did really well, even though the song by UK standards of music wasn't brilliant (sorry Andrew!) Lets face it, we don't want to come last (the shame) but we don't actually want to win it either do we? Then we would have to host it!!!

MrsMattie · 17/05/2009 10:29

Christ almighty. I tried - really tried - to get into the spirit of it, seeing as loads of people I know think it's great fun in a 'so bad it's good' type of way.

But what an absolute pile of pants. And the voting bit is so very long winded and such bad TV.

They should scrap it. It's shite.

Oh, and the British girl was a poor man's Leona Lewis. Really poor.

southeastastra · 17/05/2009 11:21

i quite liked it for the first time in about 10 years. production was fab, sets were lovely, acts were brilliant, some were funny (blue sequinned head man).

liked graham too and the voting meant it didn't drag on and on.

the winning song was very cheesy but that's eurovision i suppose.

JulesJules · 17/05/2009 12:10

DH and I loved it - may have something to do with the bottle of wine we drank while watching. I thought GN did a great job.

Our girl did OK, hated the poppet that won. I really liked Malta, she had a lovely voice. Also liked the Estonian song, but then I liked it the first time - did anyone else notice it was completely ripped off the song from The Mask of Zorro? ("I want to spend my lifetime loving you")

DH liked the dancers from Turkey...

Kimi · 17/05/2009 12:36

Still can not believe I watched it...must have been the wine

southeastastra · 17/05/2009 13:00

i was unusally sober

CrushWithEyeliner · 17/05/2009 13:01

I liked the little water nymphs running around song...Romania I think.

Norway was AWFUL! I thought Jade was wonderful though and loved the dramatic eye contact of ALW across the stage lol, oh and when she got poked by the violinist.

differentID · 18/05/2009 00:30

Kimi- we drew you in

oh well, at least it means that th enew judging system works.

Notquitegrownup · 18/05/2009 09:52

OOh quick question. Does anyone know what one of those net things which Ditta von Teesa was wearing over her face is called. (I know, who else was looking at her face?!) I am going to a Holywood glamour party soon, and want to get one!

pussface · 18/05/2009 16:57

I think it's called a fascinator .

FairLadyRantALot · 18/05/2009 17:25

no idea notquite....didn't really look...lol....

Btw, I have just realise why the norwegian guy irritated me so much and in such immediate manner, lol...he looks like that rather irritating and annoying character in High school musical...barf...
