Interesting premise, looking forward to seeing how unbiased the doc is.

I'm of the opinion that the combination of poor example and poor food can have a huge effect on quality of life. However..

ok, she's pregnant

ladette · 23/04/2009 21:28

oh no, pregnant again

pottycock · 23/04/2009 21:28

Oh God, why the hell is she having another baby?

LaurenIsMoreThanReadyToPop61 · 23/04/2009 21:28

woops

SuziSeis · 23/04/2009 21:30

sorry to be a pain ...

is this all ten years AGO?

iamaLeafontheWind · 23/04/2009 21:31

ok, during the adverts, if you were her life coach - what would your advice be? And you have to respect her opinions (no abortion).

pottycock · 23/04/2009 21:31

No - there are bits of footage from ten years ago having other pregnancy scares.

llareggub · 23/04/2009 21:31

Some of it is, most of it is the recent past I think. There are flashbacks in part to when the documentary maker first met her and filmed her.

ellenjames · 23/04/2009 21:31

am watching, feel so sorry for them both in the situation they are in, just hope that she copes well with the pregnancy, and that life gets better.

LaurenIsMoreThanReadyToPop61 · 23/04/2009 21:31

no she did a film 10years ago when her sister was pregnant young, this is now 10years on when basically shes gone against everything she said back then..ie got pregnant young..

Frasersmum123 · 23/04/2009 21:32

Its 10 years on from the original

Meglet · 23/04/2009 21:32

This one was filmed from sept 2007, but there are some flashbacks to 10 years ago.

pottycock · 23/04/2009 21:32

Hrmmmmmmmmmm. She needs to learn to respect herself and the right of her children to a healthy happy life, that's for sure. She seems (from the little we've been shown) to enjoy a bit of drama and this appears to have extended into violent and fractured relationships.

llareggub · 23/04/2009 21:33

I'd be asking questions about how she'd practically manage day-to-day, where she'd access help, support, that sort of thing. What small things she'd do to make sure she could cope with two. I'd also be exploring with her the positive things she has in favour, like her ability to budget.

Ewe · 23/04/2009 21:33

No, this is now, ten years ago she filmed a doc about her life and this is the follow up.

In the previous doc she said she didn't want to be a teenage parent and spoke about being raped at 12 (IIRC the article I read in the paper today).

SuziSeis · 23/04/2009 21:33

thanks all of you for filling me in
her boyfriend seems nice

pottycock · 23/04/2009 21:33

Oh God that's awful, poor girl.

Deeeja · 23/04/2009 21:33

Well, apart from the swearing, and the smacking, she is trying very hard to be a good mum.
I don't think it is fair to judge her for buying cheap food, she doesn't have alot to spend. She has just come out of a violent relationship, her first child was taken away from her, her self esteem must be quite low. Add to that the fact that she is watched by social services all the time, must be very stressfull.

LaurenIsMoreThanReadyToPop61 · 23/04/2009 21:34

i think she needs to get a job, or some qualifications..

Meglet · 23/04/2009 21:37

She's probably better at budgeting than me .

Deeeja · 23/04/2009 21:37

She has no support though...

LaurenIsMoreThanReadyToPop61 · 23/04/2009 21:39

He goes to nursery/school though doesn't he? Even just a few hours a week in a shop, then she'd have loads less trouble with the social too, that would prove she was really trying.

pottycock · 23/04/2009 21:40

She does have support - don't know if it's the right kind of support though. The phoning clip was so needy, she has such low self esteeem -very sad.

He doesn't want that baby.

Deeeja · 23/04/2009 21:41

It is hard to find work to fit in exactly with nursery hours. I worked as a single parent in the past, was a nightmare, child gets sick, school hols, etc, with no support.......you give up eventually

Deeeja · 23/04/2009 21:42

oh no, not again!
