What did you move onto once you had finished it?

We are loving it but are now on series 7 and wondering what will fill the void when we reach the end of this series?

OP posts:
TheOldestCat · 16/04/2009 09:45

Ah yes, MrsY - and aren't the protagonists in Studio 60 based on Sorkin and Kristen Chenoweth too? [sad geek alert]

Anyway, I returned to this thread to be cross at you all, as it's prompted me to spend money I really shouldn't on Season 7 from amazon so I can relive it. Pah to you all!

MrsY · 16/04/2009 12:47

Matt Albie and Harriet Hayes? Would make sense... I favour Danny Trip and Jordan McDere, they're such a cute couple, really funny and I love Bradley Whitford...

I'm not allowed to watch any WW while my husband is at work, so I'm watching the documentary from the full series box set, and episodes of Studio 60 on Virgin On Demand...

Anteater · 16/04/2009 12:50

mmmmm must watch that box set again, like to watch 3 epesodes at a time!

CJCregg · 16/04/2009 13:19

We did FIVE last night - no self control at all ...

TheOldestCat · 16/04/2009 15:57

We all seem to be addicts, so I feel much better.

MrsY · 17/04/2009 16:52

Glad we could help, TheOldestCat!

Was just having a chat with a friend, and TWW came up in convo, and I wondered -

who is your favorite couple?

She came up with a totally random choice, but has only watched 7/8 episodes, and I thought I'd see what you hard-core fans think...

Yes, good point, bloss - could I be good friends with someone who didn't get the West Wing?

And if it had been around before I got married? DH would not be the man I love if he didn't love it too.

In fact, it's not so much that I judge my friends by their opinion of it, as the characters on the West Wing are my friends. I will have spent, after all, 336 hours in their company by the time we have finished watching it through for the third time.

Bumperlicioso · 17/04/2009 18:50

What did we do after we finished the West Wing?

Umm, we watched it again

Bumperlicioso · 17/04/2009 18:59

Ah I see I'm not the only one...

We used to watch 3 or 4 a night then I would have WW dreams!

Love The American President! And you know that A Few Good Men is Sorkin as well? Love that film.

Haven't watched much else mentioned here, except for Studio 60, but DH and I have moved onto Desperate Housewives which I had always avoided but is actually fab!

Bumperlicioso · 17/04/2009 19:14

Josh and Donna favourite couple, with CJ and Danny a close second, although I did love the body guard she had the hots for who got shot before they could get it on.

Oh dear, I am revealing my true WW geekiness by continuing to post on this thread on my own .

I am going to Washington in a couple of weeks and am so excited because I think it is going to be like the WW. I even looked into getting a tour of the White House, but I don't think you can do it if you are a 'forner'.

In my teenage past I was equally geeky about the X Files.

TheFallenMadonna · 17/04/2009 19:17

My favourite couple are Jed and Abby Bartlett.

Toby and CJ run them a close second. He gave her some serious looks...

Bumperlicioso · 17/04/2009 19:23

Oh, actually I love the Bartletts too. Plus how hot is Stockard Channing for her age?

MrsY · 17/04/2009 19:28

Oh yes, love Abby. She has a-ma-zing legs. Although a few dodgy barnets...

Bumperlicioso - I lurve Mark Harmon - CJ's secret service agent. He's in NCIS and I've armtwisted my husband into being a fan! Although it does have a fit bird in for him...

MrsBartlet · 17/04/2009 19:33

Another vote for Josh and Donna as favourite couple! I always thought that Toby and CJ would get it together - definitely were some looks going on there! Guess what we're watching tonight?

TheOldestCat · 17/04/2009 21:00

Ah, MrsY - definitely Josh and Donna, although there was a serious chemistry between Toby and CJ, MrsB....

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 22:55

Not exactly a couple, but I cheered when Josh went and got Sam back at the end of season 7.

CJ and Danny were pretty cool. Remember that scene where she drags him into a cupboard, really turns up the heat and then drops him, saying 'that's how I would have got you if I'd wanted to' or something similar?

Hassled · 17/04/2009 22:57

CJ and Danny. He was so doggedly persistent.

Hassled · 17/04/2009 22:58

OR Zoe and Charlie

MrsY · 17/04/2009 23:01

Yeah - Zoe and Charlie get my vote - although one of my fave episodes is on the campaign when everyone pairs up...

jkklpu · 17/04/2009 23:01

Nothing will fill the gap apart from watching the whole lot through again.

Once you've got your head around that, I second/third/fourth all those who nominated House (series 1 + 2) and The Wire, and also Grey's Anatomy (again 1 + 2, couldn't get into 3, though maybe as ds2 was newborn at the time). Have only recently discovered The Sopranos (lived abroad for most of the years it was on TV).

All good but they just don't meet post-TWW standards. I strill get a thrill when I see the huge WB logo at the beginning of other shows ...

jkklpu · 17/04/2009 23:04

Bumperlicioso/Mrs Y - What about Josh and Joey Lucas? OK, so they never actually got together, but they both wanted to. And it would have meant we would NEVER have had to put up with bloody whiny jaw-dropper milky-white skinned Amy
