Have been a fan since I was a student. Am I the only one on MN?

I always used to think that Leonardo De Caprio looked like Billy from Neighbours

Actually Billy from Neighbours is in House.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 17/02/2009 18:07

The blonde girl in the film with Denzel was Radha Mitchell. The film was Man on Fire.

I think Billy is better looking than Leo.

Haven't watched Neighbours today. I am intrigued about the new Libby - very weird

RnR · 17/02/2009 18:48

I gave up 'Neighbours' - intake of breath- about a year ago and feel like a new woman, I am now addicted to 'The Gilmore Girls'.

They rock!

Stayingsunnygirl · 17/02/2009 18:53

The new Libby is temporary, blametheparents - apparently Kym Valentine needed time off to recuperate after pneumonia and a collapsed lung.

CuppaTeaJanice · 17/02/2009 19:33

Neighbours is so much better than Eastenders, Emmerdale & Corrie - they're so depressing.

I'm just glad they've given Steph a new kid recently, the old one had such a slappable face!!

BeautyandtheBreast · 18/02/2009 10:26

I hadn't noticed the new Charlie...will look out for that.

Have you noticed how everyone from Ramsey Street is in the gym at the same time? Or how when a character is going on holiday or moving away they always pack their bag in the living room - particularly at Susan's and Karl's place - always on the dining table.

And just what city is "the city"?

I just love it!

verygreenlawn · 18/02/2009 17:54

I have a stupid bizarre question - the actor that played Adam - does he do the instructions for Sky set-up? (can't believe I've just asked that).

As for Neighbours generally - I do wish they'd get rid of that tiresome Dingoes storyline. That and Rachel's singing - oh and Bridget's strange tightlipped gurning that she does - really getting on my wick.

SamVimesIsMyHero · 18/02/2009 18:23

LOL couldn't agree more - dingoes crap, Rachel singing crapper. Ty (whole character) is woeful.

lowenergylightbulb · 18/02/2009 20:25

Also, it's going to be a long 9 months 'Didge' has only been pregnant for 5 minutes and we've already had 2 dramatic hossie visits.

I really don't like Rachel, and the Ty/band thing annoys me!!!

I am in love with Lucas though, I loved him as Darren number 1, mind you darren stark number 2 was lovely too 'swoon'

I am addicted to H&A too, I am in love with Miles 'double swoon' - how could that kirsty have broken his heart?!

verygreenlawn · 18/02/2009 20:46

Oh they have (I think) hinted at the "A" word for Bridget but it was all done in a very coy way and of course it didn't happen.

I think this is a rerun of the storyline they had years ago with Connor - his girlfriend got pregnant, not going to " go through with it" as they put it on the programme, mad dash to the clinic to stop her "not going through with it", and I believe she had the baby then went back to Hong Kong.

I'm sure we have many many pregnancy emergencies to look forward to with dear Bridget, all capably handled by the Incredible Doctor Karl.

kiwibella · 19/02/2009 17:07

I have moved and can't get channel 5 - I miss Neighbours sooooo much!!

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 19/02/2009 22:14

woohoo, thanks... I'll go for a nosey .

BellaCullen · 20/02/2009 19:26

hi another n and h&a fan.
does anyone know why theres a new headmaster in neighbours I thought Libby got that job a few months back.Must have missed something on it. Dont like Bridget and family either.

BeautyandtheBreast · 20/02/2009 20:22

I don't know why there is a new headmaster... but I like him - alot

Stayingsunnygirl · 21/02/2009 12:08

Libby got the job of Head of senior school, I think - I guess the Headmaster must be head of the whole school including a Junior section?

noolia · 21/02/2009 17:40

Oh yay! A neighbours thread. I 'gave up' a couple of years ago but I have lapsed and been watching for a few months now. It's like having an old friend back! .
Wasn't there a storyline similar to the Bridget one with Todd(?) and someone - he got run over dashing to clinic to stop girlfriend having a termination? I think. Yeeeeears ago though!
New Libby is weird - same shape and size but different in every other way.
Dan and Lucas are lovely.

bronze · 21/02/2009 17:46

oooh Todd and Pheobe hes the one who came back as a ghost

I'm sure Libbys part has had other actresses play it before.

I don't get the Libby Dan weddign thing. They don't actually know each other or have an relationshipt o speak of.

The constant 'music' things are winding me up too

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 24/02/2009 12:18

Can't wait til the whole Parker family leave. Bridget was such an annoying idiot in yesterday's show. Love Callum trawling through Toadie's romantic old films to try and get he and Kelly back together.

minko · 24/02/2009 18:46

I know Ian Smith (Harold) is retiring. Are they going to kill him off with prostate cancer? That's quite depressing. Can't he just drive off in his campervan into the sunset?

bumsrus · 24/02/2009 21:20

Maybe Harold could drive his campervan off into the sunset after accidentally reversing it into the Parker residence at high speed and taking out the entire family in one go?

I seem to remember the Boring Bishops were conveniently disposed of in a plane crash - maybe we can start a campaign along those lines?

Stayingsunnygirl · 25/02/2009 09:40

Perhaps all the Parkers could be sent off to a residential anger-management course, where things go so badly wrong that it turns into a siege, Harold goes in to try to talk them into giving themselves up, and the whole place is destroyed in a freak accident where an earthquake causes a rift to swallow up the anger-management centre with all three Parkers and Harold still inside.

A tad far-fetched, perhaps - but this is Soapland!

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 25/02/2009 11:39

Fantastic idea stayingsunnygirl - and not far-fetched at all! I'm sure the only reason scriptwriters wouldn't put it into practice is because in Australia the Parkers have probably left already.

Awww - thanks!!
