ooh .ECMR I didn't know about the Rebecca /Libby connection. I've watched neighbours on/off since it started. I agree Rebecca and Steve are looking like there may be something between them anytime soon (apart from being grandparents)

Funny you should mention Toady going out with someone of similar attractiveness now Gaspod.... when I was at uni we used to refer to couples where the woman was more attractive than the man as a "Toady and Dee situation" in fact, I still do today...

She must like the name Rebecca as Jane Hall who plays Rebecca in neighbours played Rebecca Fisher in Home and Away

Am I the only one who hates the Parker family? Stee and Miranda are sooo dull, and Bridget sends me into a rage with her stupid haircut and blank facial expressions. She really makes me quite cross! (Hmm, can you tell I'm on maternity leave and bored?)

We have just moved to Melbourne and on Sunday we saw the utterly gorgeous 'Dan' and he is so tall and again so gorgeous {swoon emotion}

Does anyone remember when Stuart became a policeman and within weeks anytime any Ramsay street resident was involved in anything from speeding, burglary, bomb making to murder, good old Stu was the relevant policeman.

Anathema, I share the rage about the Parker family and Bridget's haircut in particular.

I also record it - and can then see that adverts take up about a third of the time so it's SO much more efficient to whizz through them.

More real life goss - the gorgeous Dan in real life is going out with the girl who used to play Janaeii (sp??) from the infamous family whose surname I have forgotten. He is about 35 and she is 18. Have never really felt the same about his character since reading this. Also, I think Carmella goes out with Oliver in real life. The guy who plays Ty is a Christian and did not approve of the storyline his character had. On that point - I don't remember he and Rachel doing the deed.

I think the girl who plays Donna is a fantastic actor - great timing - and really shows up the very limited Bridget in particular.

Another Parker hater here too. Why couldn't they all have buggered off with Riley to wherever he went?

I love the way the houses in Ramsey Street magically expand whenever someone comes to stay and extra bedrooms appear out of nowhere.

I wish they'd give up the singing and guitar-playing storylines. I've had enough of Rachel and Ty's singing and playing to last me several lifetimes.

Another guilty pleasure watcher here - Parkers are dreadful...

I love Neighbours, but had to stop watching it in thh summer when my DS (7) showed signs of possible addiction at a particularly inapproapriate point in the story line I have since only managed the odd episode here and there. I must say it's harder to pick up again than it used to be, things seem to progress quicker than they used to (but then I was watching at Poly and still remember my bemused lecturer wondering where all his students were for a 2 o'clock lecture, when we were in the Union watching Scott and Charlene's wedding

I love Neighbours! When I was pg with my ds (2003) my mum told me that she'd heard of a survey done of baby's reactions to music / sounds, and many appeared to respond vigorously to the Neighbours theme as their mums had watched it lots whilst pg! (Not sure about the truth of that...she was possibly trying to encourage me to broaden my viewing horizons!)

There is due to be a new 'Libby' temporarily, as Kym Valentine has been off poorly... I love that we are expected to just accept a new actress without question (and that we do!) - weren't there at least 3 Lucy Robinsons??!

Also, apparently Dan's brother Lucas was the original Darren Stark many years ago (who also went out with Libby)...How does she get so many men???!!!

I actually had to check Rebecca Fisher cos I remembered her being blonde & Rebecca Neighbours was the first Ms Fisher.

I knew Lucas was familiar but didn't think to connect him with Neighbours just presumed he'd been in H&A or some other Oz soap as a youngster. I see it now it's been mentioned.

Dan looks way older than Toadie et al.

I prefer Bridgets hair now tbh, it really annoyed me before but now it's a minor irritation.
