Anyone else excited about this starting up soon?

I'm guessing that The Oceanic 6 are going to go back to the island.

In my heart I don't want Widmore to be bad because he is Jim Robinson I wonder if Ben knew he had to kill Locke to get him back to the island. Christian was 'dead' too, and supposedly once you turn the wheel you can never come back. I wonder if being 'dead' somehow allows them to get back? That theory seems shot out of the water though because clearly Locke and Ben are back on the island, and Ben was quite clearly alive on the plane.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 02/03/2009 09:54

Oh my brain imploded watching last nights episode, if Locke just needed to be dead then why didn't Ben just let him step off the table? If fact why turn up at all?

giantkatestacks · 02/03/2009 09:55

Jim Robinson cant be bad - especially as he had Daniels working for him (how dare Ben shoot him)...

Sorry have been lurking here for some time...

PlumBumMum · 02/03/2009 09:58

Ben didn't know how to get back to the island, and he knew Locke wouldn't have left the island without knowing how to get back

Hi Giantkatestacks

SugarBird · 02/03/2009 09:58

I think Ben needed the name of Faraday's mother from Locke, which is why he didn't let him hang himself until they'd talked. Once he'd given her name - Elouise ? - he killed him.

Utterly confused. Keep thinking we're getting explanations (which we are) but they just raise more questions...

And where was Sawyer in last night's episode??

giantkatestacks · 02/03/2009 11:00

What I dont understand is that Ben killed Locke knowing (hoping) that they would be together again on the island - does he not expect some sort of retribution for that?

PlumBumMum · 02/03/2009 11:02

He's tried to kill him once before so will prob worm his way out of it

Merrylegs · 02/03/2009 11:35

I liked this episode better than last week's, which I found very unsatisfying.

I think there should be a special camp on the island for all the injured extras from (now) both plane crashes. You forget there were other people on the planes and then sometimes they just randomly appear in the crowd scenes - like when Locke found Ben injured in amongst old lady with arm in sling/unidentified burnt man/various groaning shapes on floor... and you're like What The...?

What have these other passengers been doing all this time while Sawyer and Kate have been getting it on and Locke's been whizzing about through time and people's noses are bleeding - and then here are all these random injured people building camps and eating mangoes.

They are the real 'others' - so yay to them.

I also liked how Locke went to find Walt and then decided not to take him back to the island - think it's because he's not young and cute anymore and possibly has other film deals, so wasn't available.

braveandcrazy · 02/03/2009 17:59

I thought that Ben decided to kill Locke when he heard him mention Elouise's name not because he didn't know her(I thought he did), but because if Locke knows her name then Widmore must know her too - it must have been Widmore who told Locke her name, mustn't it? Maybe Ben was worried that Locke knew too much about how to get back to the island?

Oh I don't know it's all a mystery to me - still enjoy it though

PlumBumMum · 02/03/2009 20:44

Braveandcrazy don't think ben knew how to get back on the island needed info from Locke 1st

SweetEm · 02/03/2009 21:26

I also wondered, after seeing Jin in the Dharma outfit, whether it was he that taught Charlotte Korean.

I am enjoying this new season, but thinking about it too much is making my brain hurt. All this 4 days passed on island but 3 years off, etc...

As an aside, am I the only one that thinks Desmond is far sexier than Sawyer and Jack? Always have been a sucker for a Scottish accent though....

springlamb · 02/03/2009 21:54

Yes sweetem Des has a certain something.

I keep remarking to dh as we watch 'but how are they going to get Des back to the island', 'what about Des, do you think he'll sail back'. Poor dh is oblivious to my special interest.

giantkatestacks · 02/03/2009 22:04

Des might have 'a certain something' [brother] but better than Sawyer? Come now...

I'm finding this series very confusing too - not to mention the worry about Aaron.

PlumBumMum · 02/03/2009 22:18

Back up the thread I mentioned this already

PlumBumMum · 02/03/2009 22:51

But only this and one more season left and the writers know where they are going now

braveandcrazy · 04/03/2009 19:01

I'm really confused about Ben getting on and off the island. I know that Ben 'moved' the island by turning the wheel this time round, but he's always known how to get off before -he sent Michael and Walt off in a boat.
And didn't the Others get Juliet on the island too? Oh I don't know I'm just trying to figure it out!

Ambi · 04/03/2009 19:53

I thought they used to use the submarine (before Locke blew it up) cos we've seen Richard off the island twice and that big bloke who got Michael back from America. This weeks episode was much better, answered more questions, like why Bentham? But even though Locke broke his leg I expected him to be paralysed again once he left the island.

AnathemaDevice · 05/03/2009 20:42

Just watched this weeks- Lots of Sawyer

Ceebee74 · 05/03/2009 21:26

Anathema - just the news I wanted to hear Shall look forward to it...

Shoshe · 08/03/2009 21:47

OMG Sawyer and Juliet!

tiredandwornoutmum · 08/03/2009 22:09

I know! Didn't see that one coming at all. So not right sawyer and juliet.

littlelamb · 08/03/2009 22:15

So who do you think the baby will turn out to be? And at seeing the rest come back at the end. There's going to be lots to sort out between Juliet & Jack and Kate & Sawyer

littlelamb · 08/03/2009 22:17

And I loved Sawyers comment about Richard's eyeliner
