I'm guessing that The Oceanic 6 are going to go back to the island.

Well bay cant be Daniel, as he looks older than Charlotte, and we have already seen Charlotte as a little girl in 1974.

And will Sawyer now remember Kates face!

Ah, poor Juliet - always the bridesmaid... she may be pouty and rather earnest but you've gotta feel sorry for her - as soon as Sawyer laid eyes on Kate tonight you just knew three years wasn't long enough to forget someone...

good episode, can someone please expalins omething to me, we are in 1977, so where is Ben as he was on the plane with them wasn't he. Also, why did they rock up in a dharma camper van and presumably they all know each other????? Or, will Kate, jack et al not know SAwyer???

Because although the Dharma Initiative is now in 77, The Oceanic People are still in their own time in their brains?heads?, so they would know each other, they have spent the last three years looking for them.

An they were in the Van, cos Jin found them while he was driving the van, while out looking for them and phoned Sawyer to say he ha found them, sawyer then went to the North Valley o meet them.

Yes, and Jin found them when he was out in his little Dharma van, so presumably bought them to Sawyer so they can decide how to explain to the rest of the Dharma people how they got there. Ben must be somewhere on the island as Hector is his dad- although I don't understand how her reached such a senior position in Dharma. I guess we'll see Did Charlotte just disappear in front of Daniel? Because if she did could it be because she already exists on the island in the current time? That might explain why Ben isn't with them. But where are Sun and Sayid?

I think the baby might be Ethan.
Bit of a continuity mess up though- according to Lostpedia (and it's been mentioned in an episode, can't remember which one) that Charlotte was born in 1979- which means that the child Daniel saw in 1974 can't be her.
I really hope Sawyer doesn't start mooning over Kate again, I much prefer Juliet.
Not happy that there's going to be a week's break now! Still, I'm due to give birth in 10 days, so at least won't miss an episode if the baby is on time!

We seen Ben he is with the injured people from the second flight but I think they are on a different island, a smaller one, because locke seemed to be looking across the sea to the island, as Kate jack etc dissappeared off plane before plane crashed, and sun and the pilot stole the boat so I think they rowed to the main island iyswim

hope sawyer dosen't dump Juilet seenthat coming for ages

Ben and Locke on the smaller island (I think it is called Hydra Island). It's the island that the Others took Jack, Kate and Sawyer to where Jack did the surgery on Ben.

I don't think Horace is Ben's Dad - wasn't Ben's Dad called Roger and recruited to Dharma by Horace?

OK -so are Ben and Locke in the other island in the seventies too?

Think the baby has to be someone significant. I thought Ethan too, but wondered if he was 'relevant' enough?

Also - remind me why Sawyer had to wait for Locke? I mean he had a free pass to Tahiti - in the 70s! How cool would that be?

Ah, you're right. He's not Ben's dad, but he was there when Ben was born, and he got Ben's dad the job with Dharma. Lordy, I am confused

One thing that is confusing me is that if everyone is in the 70's when Dharma were active, why is there no Dharma on the small island? It has a Dharma station - Caesar was in it at the beginning of the episode where Locke had come back to life.

I think Sawyer didn't want to leave the island on the sub because he doesn't want to go back to the "real world" in 1974. He wants Locke to come back and get them back to persent day and then leave the island.

Sweetem I think they only go over to the other island for the occassional tests remember they brought Jack kate Sawyer there and said they don't use it all the time, I think I'm remembering that right

Just found this thread though I haven't read through it all yet. I'm not sure I like the time tavel stuff in this series - it seems a bit far fetched (mind you when was it ever realistic??)

I prefer mean and dirty Sawyer to nice Sawyer.

So it's the seventies, right? And Sawyer was woken up by a phone call from Jin to say he had found Jack et al BUT Jin was in his little van. Did he have a mobile phone? If he had been walky talky-ing, it wouldn't have made Sawyer's phone ring would it? Are there phone boxes on the island? Just how did Jin make Sawyer's bell ring? (fnnr fnnr).

And didn't you think in that scene with Sawyer and Juliet in the kitchen - their hair was s-o-o-o shiny. Actually it was good to see - in the early days Sawyer had that 'just stepped out of the salon' look. He's got a bit grubby recently. Nice to see his hair back on form.

I've been reading the thread and have been interested by peoples' theories and comments. I think I'm just finding this series harder to get my head round, still really enjoying it though.

Maybe Jin walky talkyed to the guard room people and then they rang Sawyer and held their walky talky up to the phone so Sawyer could hear Jin.
