I was 'gobsmacked' (trying to include some Masterchef ott-ness), that Andy beat Michelle, I would have eaten all of hers and then finished the plate (I'm pretty sure I've heard one of them say that).

Seriously though, didn't anyone else think her food just looked amazing, whereas his was a bit meh?

I liked her rice bread and the banana thing but Andy's looked fab

I'm with you HazeyJane, Michelle's I would have hoovered up. Andy's quail salad looked amazing, but the other dishes had faults IMO

How did Yola not go through?

Yes she is a scary Shirley Wicks type lady but her food looked amazing.

cos Michelle beat her out of the comp. But since some people think she should have gone through to the next stage, I guess we are missing something there, Molesy.

It was a real shocker for me because Michelle was crap in the pro kitchen. I'll take John's word for it that her banana thing was amazing, but they said the lamb in her curry was dry, so it wasn't as if her food was fault-free. Oh well!

Did anyone spot last night when John and Greg were talking about the contestants and they were out mock shopping that there was a sign for John's restaurant behind Greg's head. I thought oh now advertising on BBC. Then in next shot the writing on sign had disappeared.

Dh seems to think that John has much more say than Gregg and he loved Michelle's food (John, he really likes Asian food doesn't he) so maybe that's why

God I am such a saddo - DP and I have made a 'no telly' deal this week as we are both sick of being such dead-eyed zombies, but come 8.30 all I could think was MASTERCHEF Didn't give in though so I'll just have to re-enact the passion and the journey in my flavoursome imagination.

they were only tough on him so they could get rid of young girl and mother of 4. that thin lipped bloke turned out much worse food than either of them.

Cyprus Chris to win. He looked gutted when they were so harsh last night but I thought his food looked great. Chris or last year's Andy for the Title of Masterchef

Was pleased with the result, I thought they might get rid of Nosferatu in order to even up the gender balance but the two women badly cocked it all up. That polenta cake? Peach sauce? but not envy.

We love Cyprus Chris. I think Andy is very smug and I'd love Chris to beat him. Beelzebub or Pretty Boy to go next.
