And why should the votes roll over to the final? People might have totally different feelings after seeing the final dances.

the two girls had the same marks so one of them would have had to be in the dance off. How would they have decided?

Can someone explain the logisitcs as to why there was no dance off in v simple terms?

They should have decided who was in the dance off based on the public vote. The same as always.

I bet they knew this would happen from the moment JS quit.

They should have done the "right" thing and just brought they whole thing to an end a week earlier, and had a Christmas special next Sat night.

What an anti-climax!

Tom could not go through no matter how the phone in went. So effectively a vote for Tom was a wasted vote. The Strictly Boards were kicking off like mad. People were saying they were reporting the Beeb to ofcom so I suspect they had no choice. I was quite though!

I very much doubt that Rachel and Lisa's public votes were tied exactly. They should have put the lower marked dancer in the dance off as usual.

Either way a great end - I love the fact that the programme finished 10 mins before the scheduled time as it was so unpredictable!

I don't think that it was a snap decision.
I think that they decided as soon as JS walked out.
How many people said - and rightly so - that a 2-person final would be crap??

TTT - I honestly don't think that, at this stage, many people vote for the dances; they vote for the person they want to win.

I didn't vote and may have felt differently if I had but I think it's the right decision.
Just my VHO.

The top two get so many points from being top of the leader board and then more in relation to the public vote. For whatever reason they couldn't separate them.

When JS left they said there would be 2 in the final instead of the usual 3. I do think it was because Lisa and Rachel got the same marks.

If they had the tv schedule planned right from the start then they were an eviction (or whatever) down because of John Sargent walking.

It was a complete waste of a show though. I'd be pi**ed off if i'd voted.

It was because of Tom- he HAD to be in the final 2, but I don't see why that was a problem. I reckon Brendan looked pretty peed off. Not surprisingly, after producing dances like that. It wasn't fair.
