OP posts:
spookycharlotte121 · 13/11/2008 21:19

That must be about the people who live around me feel. There are 2 very expencive areas of bristol right next to me and then there is my council estate. I hope people dont look down on me like that!

conkertree · 13/11/2008 21:19

oh and there we go - no british people in this area = no white people. suppose that was bound to be said at some point.

ilikeyoursleeves · 13/11/2008 21:19

OMG 'no british people live down here it's all blacks'

....and therefore dangerous!

Lizzylou · 13/11/2008 21:20

Just knew that this would be being talked about on MN!

giraffescantdancethetango · 13/11/2008 21:20

poppy agree probably a big amount of editing.

the rich mother looks like gillian mckeith

OP posts:
doodlebops · 13/11/2008 21:20

oops, dont know what happened there! sorry!

conkertree · 13/11/2008 21:20

no way - she is just playing up to the cameras now (alice) - oh look at that woman - I'm not getting out of the car - surely people dont actually act like that?

LittleDorrit · 13/11/2008 21:21

Yes, the "posh" girl is very annoying, and so is her family, but surely the "poor" family is a bit of an extreme as well too - not in terms of the amount of money they have, but also that they are obviously struggling in many other ways too - like they have given up on life. Please don't flame me for saying that please.

spookycharlotte121 · 13/11/2008 21:21

Acchhhh this is making me angry

poppy34 · 13/11/2008 21:21

spooky they don't.. sorry don't want to out myself but that little cow is in no way representative of the school/area

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/11/2008 21:22

Why isn't her mother trying to sort her brother out?

bubblerock · 13/11/2008 21:23

I'm watching this too - very extreme!

poppy34 · 13/11/2008 21:23

littledorrit- Its hard to tell what truth is as they've editted up the posh ones and down the poor ones (or that is the way it apepars - you can't really see what truth is on just one programme esp when it is designed to show contrasts)

spookycharlotte121 · 13/11/2008 21:23

Is there something wrong with the "poor" mum?

conkertree · 13/11/2008 21:23

again dont flame me - but I think the mother looks like the problem in the 'poor' family - the daughter looks like she has some gumption about her.

DontlookatmeImshy · 13/11/2008 21:24

Feel sorry for the girl trying to sort out school for her brother while her mum just sits there?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/11/2008 21:24

DH says that daughter has the brains and why did she drop out of school?

poppy34 · 13/11/2008 21:24

agree conker..not sure charlotte- know her brother has an issue but didnt say anything re mother

TequilaMockinBird · 13/11/2008 21:24

I've just turned over to watch this and thought the poor daughter was the mother!

Why is the mother not trying to get the little boy into school?

spookycharlotte121 · 13/11/2008 21:24

Ahhh she is depressed. She should get some help though. He problems are obviously causing problems for the rest of the family. the daughter has taken on a lot.

poppy34 · 13/11/2008 21:25

dh said same 5gomad

doodlebops · 13/11/2008 21:25

im going to find it hard to watch this i think, im hoping things will be looking up for the "poor" family by the end of the programme, little boy in school, girl with a job etc.

LittleDorrit · 13/11/2008 21:26

You're probably right poppy34. I was looking forward to watching this, but it seems that this is a little bit like wife swap, in that everyone is a bit extreme and annoying !

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/11/2008 21:26

of course they are effing normal

DontlookatmeImshy · 13/11/2008 21:26

oMG state school people are normal?

Thankgoodness for that
