Here we go...

OP posts:
fionaann · 27/11/2008 16:48

I sort of agree about Darren and Lilia but was also quite intrigued to see where they lived. They - especially Darren - loved showing us around WAY too much.

I LOVED ITT item yesterday on Ian. Those pictures of him dancing when he was younger were hilarious. He looked just like the character Bob Downe for anyone who remembers him. I also find "Ask Len" really funny.

Tigerschick · 27/11/2008 16:56

I think I need to catch up on ITT - I feel a bit left out

MaryAnnSingleton · 27/11/2008 16:58

It was a bit show home-y though, Darren and Lilia's..the pug thing was funny

Oblomov · 27/11/2008 16:59

Brian - geeky ?
NOOOOOOO - I won't have a word said against him.
Unless of course it is re his eyebrows. which we have had discussions about before

HappyMummyOfOne · 27/11/2008 22:23

I've just booked tickets for the live show in Feb - cant wait

Slightly excited as you can tell lol.

Tigerschick · 29/11/2008 14:08

It's gone a bit quiet round here ...

Who are you looking forward to seeing tonight??

I can't wait for Austin's paso - it could be fantastic or a complete disaster area ... I just hope he pulls it out of the bag!!
Of those who are left in, Tom got the highest paso score at 34 ...

DownyEmerald · 29/11/2008 15:20

I'm not really excited about tonight - Rachel - she'll do well, austin - he'll do well, tom - he'll do well but won't get marked as highly as austin etc etc.

I miss Jodie, and the only real interest is whether Christine will pull it out of the bag or not!

Snaf · 29/11/2008 15:33

It's not going to be the same without Jodie and Ian. Wish Cheesy Christine had gone instead.

I am looking forward to Austin and Tom, but I always love the weeks when they start doing two dances, anyway. It sorts the men from the boys, as t'were...

Oblomov · 29/11/2008 16:40

Agree with Emerald.
A bit boring now. Surely christine wil go next.
There is no ... will it be her/him ... left in it now.

FuriousGeorge · 29/11/2008 17:00

I miss Jodie-she reminded me of when I attempted to learn to dance years ago.I was tall and gangly too.Sadly I didn't get any better, unlike Jodie.

DH,who hates SCD with a passion, has started turning up the volume when it comes on now. He'd never admit he was interested though.

fionaann · 29/11/2008 17:53

Did anyone see Never Mind the Buzzcocks last Saturday - available on Iplayer til 11.49pm tonight. Aleisha Dixon was on and Simon Amstell asked if she had noticed that Tess was "dead behind the eyes" - lol.

cyteen · 29/11/2008 18:59

christine has definitely gone as far as she can. she looked lovely but there was no snap to her dance at all - it just looked like a walkthrough.

Sunshinemummy · 29/11/2008 19:01

Agree this is Christine's last week. She's such a lovely girl but the others are amazing.

cyteen · 29/11/2008 19:02

LOL @ 'the final countdown' vincent showing his eurotrash colours.

themoon66 · 29/11/2008 19:04

I've warmed to Lisa. In fact, I'm going to vote for her tonight!

cyteen · 29/11/2008 19:09

yes, finally i have come around to lisa. both those performances were lively, lovely and yes, full of personality!

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 29/11/2008 19:38

Lisa and Rachel were both overmarked in an effort to skew the results - esp LIsa's. Len's marking was a joke - 'I'm going to ignore the faults in Tom's dance to give a 10' but then ignore the merit in Austin's Paso to give 8.

fartmeistergeneral · 29/11/2008 19:42

Seriously, how good was that!!!!

Tom - was robbed - 7?????

Salleroo · 29/11/2008 19:44

I thought that the judges were unfair on the boys and overly gushing about Rachel and Lisa. Still cant bear Lisa. Voted for Christine, she is the new John Sargeant!!!

fartmeistergeneral · 29/11/2008 19:46

When you see Lisa in training without the massive smile and make up, she is so natural and beautiful.

However, her excessive grin and touching of Brendan really irritates me...and.. I think...the nation.

Can't think who my favourite is - love Austin, Tom and Rachel!

Christine - bless. Surely she will go this week?

annaje · 29/11/2008 19:47

I thought Lisa was fantastic - glad she thrashing those boys at last - they've had an easy ride.

Rachel's first dance - beautiful.

Austin - he always delivers, but it always leaves me cold.

Tom - 'camp as a row of tents' as Bruno said, but love the enthusiasm.

Christine - please go home....

fartmeistergeneral · 29/11/2008 19:48

Agree that Tom does try perhaps too hard, but I can SO see how desperate he is to be up there with the '10s'.

themoon66 · 29/11/2008 20:30

So who is Brendon engaged to all of a sudden? I thought he was 'with' one of the other professional lady dancers.

fionaann · 29/11/2008 20:32

It?s getting exciting now with each couple doing 2 dances.

Tom ? I didn?t notice his bottom sticking out. Not a great fan of his generally but thought his ballroom was really good. Not keen on his Latin ? REALLY not helped by that shirt.

Austin ? LOVED the PASO. Well done to Erin for the choreography ? and what a body she has. Also thought his ballroom was good but Bruno got carried away with the 10.

Rachel ? ballroom ? dress and dance lovely; Latin - rubbish dress and not great dance ? her expression reminded me of a petulant teenager who had been told to tidy her room.

Lisa ? very good in both but I still can?t warm to her.

Christine ? overmarked ? all floppy and ragdolly. Definitely time to say goodbye. Really don?t care how hard you are working and how much it means to you.

Len had a bad night ? he completely missed the whole point of Austin?s Paso and seemed to be the only one who didn?t like it. Saying he had spotted an error in Tom?s dancing and still giving a 10 makes a joke of the whole judging system.
