Here we go...

OP posts:
SlubberOverTheYardArm · 14/11/2008 21:46

yeah, but you wouldn't say no if he offered to lift you up off the floor by your foot in the splits position, would you?

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 14/11/2008 22:18

Hell no!

Although I think he has a slightly elongated neck.

Anyone see Tess on Children in need?

SlubberOverTheYardArm · 14/11/2008 22:21

Well she was OK. Nice to see Anton back in tails and not in his current saturday afternoon silver spandex and helmet get up.

VanillaPumpkin · 14/11/2008 22:34

Enjoyed the Children in Need dances. Terry made me laugh about rehearsing for at least five minutes...
Poor old Len, but lol at Brucie's potential for doing the Heimlich manoevre.

I too thought Brian was not the most attractive but my goodness he has grown on me as the boy can dance! He was fab in the group Paso.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Have to say I wouldn't mind if Cherie went tbh....I am a bit bored with her and James .

Salleroo · 14/11/2008 22:49

Unfortunately Cherie is there for the longhaul I think. I find her completely boring and just dont know what the judges see in her. And her latin dancing is appalling and they still bloody gave her 7s. Ive said it before and I'll say it again. She is mutton. The way she pouts and simpers at James kind of turns my stomach.

Tigerschick · 15/11/2008 08:00

At the beginning of the serise a lot of us said that we thought James had changed.
He seemed to be a lot calmer and less 'in yer face' around Cherie.
That's all changed, hasn't it! I don't like the way he tells her what she is doing wrong, and that he was disappointed in her, on ITT!!
That's the sort of thing that should be said behind closed doors - no wonder she lacks confindence!
Can't be doing with either of them.

I thought the CIN dances were hilarious!! I've never seen a more sedate waltz
Is it sad that I was disappointed that we'd already seen the pro dance? I wanted something new! (Tho I do love that paso ...)

cyteen · 15/11/2008 18:15

thank goodness the wardrobe ppl have made up with jodie at last! she looks good in red

Tigerschick · 15/11/2008 19:03

Didn't see Jodie, Christine or Cherie but just had to dash on to say ...

OMG - that Rumba was A-MAZ-ING!!!

And Austin's Tango wasn't half bad either

cyteen · 15/11/2008 19:14

as much as tom is a smug grinning weirdo, that salsa was bloody brilliant.

in fact, it's been a gold standard show tonight!

Snaf · 15/11/2008 19:28

It was a good week - even John (by his standards at least!).

I take back all I said about Rachel last week - her rhumba was fab-u-lous.

Jodie lovely as always. Looked great, always sells her performance.

Tom and Austin both brilliant (god, I would kill to dance a tango) although actually I thought Tom slightly better than Austin...

Cherie salvaged her rep after two awful weeks, though I am liking her personality less and less.

Christine sweet but a bit meh - she is good but just a bit - sanitised?

Lisa - still don't like her but she did a good performance. Thought samba rolls a bit jerky, tbh but what do I know?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsFleckles · 15/11/2008 20:37

John and Cherie in the bottom two please and either of them to go I don't mind! Tom was great although I don't like him much.

Febes · 15/11/2008 21:32

WOW they were all really good tonight.
Rachels rumba was bloody sexy.
I loved Toms salsa even though I think he is cringy.
I enjoyed Austins tango loved the faces he pulled much better than Toms a few weeks ago.
Jodie and Ian were good I liked Jodies dress so much material!!!
I liked Lisas samba maybe a bit under marked.
Cheries cha cha was good and much better for her but she can go. I don't like her or James. She has fabulous legs though.
Christine was good but I'm over her as well she could go.
I enjoyed Johns dance and it was much better than last week. I think its time for him to go though the standard is just too high tonight. I love Kristina she is fabulous.

mm22bys · 15/11/2008 21:56

I thought they were all brilliant tonight! Definitely the best show to date.

I loved Rachel's rumba, and want to go to that restaurant!

Really loved Tom's Salsa, I can't get excited about Austin though, and agree about Cherie.

Lisa's growing on me, but my faves are Jodie and Christine (I was determined not to like Jodie but within a week I'd been converted...Christine is just so happy!)

They talked John up tonight, but I think he'll get to hand around at least another week (hope I'm wrong, the others were brilliant!)

mm22bys · 15/11/2008 22:00

Can anyone confirm if the restaurant is on Kings Road in Fulham?

themoon66 · 15/11/2008 22:23

I think the judges were playing a game with John's points tonight. When they give him rock bottom points and say nasty things, the public vote like crazy to keep him in. I think tonight they said nice things and upped the points so he wouldn't get so much public sympathy and votes. They are clearly desperate to get rid of him.

Or am I thinking too deeply about this

TheOtherMaryPoppinsFleckles · 15/11/2008 22:37

Results are in on Digital Spy if anyone is interested

pinkteddy · 15/11/2008 22:44

I normally find the rumba a bit creepy but Rachel and Vincent's rumba tonight - wow! I did like Tom's salsa but think Gethins was better!

Brilliant show tonight all told. Cherie and James in bottom 2?

themoon66 · 15/11/2008 22:47

I hope John goes tomorrow. It's getting beyond boring now.

cyteen · 15/11/2008 22:50

Kristina is as fab as ever, but wtf was that awful pink dress about? She looked like she was wearing a curtain from a Fleetwood b&b The poor girl must have inherited Jodie's wardrobe ire somehow.

FuriousGeorge · 15/11/2008 22:55

I was pleased that Austin and Erin were back on form this week. The training bit was recorded dd's school on Tuesday this week,so dd was thrilld to see herself on tv,with all her friends.

pinkteddy · 15/11/2008 23:02

Was just looking for your other thread George to say I had seen it. Kids must have been thrilled - looked like they had great fun!

womblingalong · 16/11/2008 10:06

Wow, Rachel's Rumba - absolutely fab, so, so believable, and not at all cringy, like some rumba's are, wonderful.

Austin's Tango - again, really wonderful, so commanding, and I just loved Erin's dress.

Christine's waltz - so pretty

Cherie - not enough hip action, and getting down into it, although much better than her other latins except her rumba. Her midsection seems so stiff and awkward.

Lisa - I liked this, thought she was undermarked.

Tom - good, but ageed with craig, it was a bit me me me, and a bit girly in places. Also, do the dress designers hate Camilla - that dress what horrendous.

John - an improvement, and I loved those splits that Kristina did, agree about the dress tho.

mabanana · 16/11/2008 10:08

Themoon, yup, the judges definitely got together to decide to be nice to John to reduce the sympathy/annoy the judges vote and people would think, ah, that's nice, he can go on a high now. I hope that is what happens. As the contest goes on and the gulf between John and the other contestants grows, I think it would be more entertaining and interesting if he went.

beansprout · 16/11/2008 10:09

I agree with the moon. I think they did scored Rachel tactically too.

carrotsandpeasifyouplease · 16/11/2008 10:09

Rachel was fab
Lisa's rolls i didnt think were good and i think her and Cherie are just too skinny to do latin, although saying that i thouht Camilla was very good.
JOdie was very good
Cherie just comes across as a spoilt princess which isnt a good look for someone her age.
I could look at Kristina dance all night i think
