Here we go...

OP posts:

Camilla quite often wears sleeves where everyone else has none - I wonder if she has some sort of arm image issue?

HappyMummyOfOne · 16/11/2008 14:58

Thought Jodie did really well this week - am growing to like her - love Ian though so hope she stays in for a while yet

I think Rachel got such high marks by the judges for tactical reasons, it was good but only as good as some of the others.

Tom was good but overplayed slightly so I see where the me me me came into it.

Cherie - costume was awful and didnt like the dance at all. Really hope she goes this week.

Kristina is fab though and will be missed when John does go. Her dancing is amazing.

tribpot · 16/11/2008 16:48

I didn't think Lisa's rolls were very good but then I've never really seen the point of that move, it never looks very 'natural' to me, even when the professionals are doing it. Maybe it helps if there's a bigger height difference or something?

Tigerschick · 16/11/2008 17:49

I agree tribpot - the face-to-face samba rolls do look odd, no matter who is doing them. The ones where both partners are facing the same way look much better.

I thought the standard was very high last night.
There's 6 weeks to go and the second lowest score was 30!! I bet Lisa and Brendan were moderately pleased with that score until they realised how highly everyone else was scored!

I'm not sure about the conspiracy theories with the judges' scores (which is not correctly punctuated on the BBC site ) I think that Rachel's rumba was incredible ... and I think John's American Smooth was much better than anything he's done so far - so both scores were, IMVHO, justified.

squeaver · 16/11/2008 17:57

Kristina should get some sort of "services to choreography" award for what she's done with John. I bet when she first met him she thought "I'll be out in week one" but she has done an incredible job.

Agree with everyone on the rumba - just amazing.

Bored with both Tom and Cherie now. They're both a bit too self-involved.

Boyswillbeboys · 16/11/2008 18:11

I can't wait to see who's in the dance off this week! If it's John he will definitely get voted off. If not, it could well be Lisa and Brendon - can't believe how they have fallen this week. I SO don't want Jodie to go yet, she is just so lovely and posh! I didn't think I would warm to an upperclass polo-playing ex-supermodel but I think she is fab. I will grudgingly admit that Rachel was good but I still don't like her and would be glad if she left! Her poor boyfriend was probably squirming in his seat watching her and Vincent's Rumba

tribpot · 16/11/2008 18:26

I've peeked at the spoiler so all I will say is ... do watch.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsFleckles · 16/11/2008 19:13

Good innit still can't wait to watch, so it's not spoilt it for me, in fact it's made it more exciting!!

tribpot · 16/11/2008 19:26

Mary - I will contain myself til after the show! Am amazed by the strong wills exhibited here not to give in to the spoiler as I do every week. It was so much better back in ye olden days when the results were broadcast live.

HappyMummyOfOne · 16/11/2008 19:49

Did they used to do the results on a Saturday night? Its the first series i've watched so not sure of past format.

Clayhead · 16/11/2008 20:04

Yes, used to be later on a Saturday.

I have seen the spoiler.

FuriousGeorge · 16/11/2008 20:15

Thankyou Pinkteddy. My dad was meant to tape it for us,but it didn't work,so am trying to watch it on Iplayer instead, but it is so slooooow.

DH is watching TopGear now,so will miss tonights episode too.Bah!

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 16/11/2008 20:30

have to say, i LOVE the band

especially the male singer

HappyMummyOfOne · 16/11/2008 20:34

Professional group dance was very good, Brian and Kristina were ace. James loves himself a little too much for my liking.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/11/2008 20:42

Juat chatting with DH,

there is

Sir Tom Jones
Sir Mick Jagger
Sir Terru Wogan
Sir Clive Woodward
Sir Ian Botham
Sir Bob Geldof

sorry it is a travesty however irritaiting some may find him but why isnt' he a Sir

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 16/11/2008 20:44

I've been very good this year and haven't peeked at Digital Spy at all.

I think James Jordon may have lost some votes for showing his true colours again this week on ITT. He's very unforgiving to the amateurs when they don't live up to his expectations.

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 16/11/2008 20:46

he is

sir brucie

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 16/11/2008 20:47

SlubberOverTheYardArm · 16/11/2008 20:49

I did predict it though [sage old STC bird].
The John Backlash will be huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge next week. then he will go.

poor lisa

poshtottie · 16/11/2008 20:51

I think cherie should go but I bet she doesn't. Lisa is a better all rounder.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 16/11/2008 20:51

Flippin' eck!

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 16/11/2008 20:51
