LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 23:13

Have never seen Sophies Choice, no desire to you will note I am posting during it.

Hulababy · 13/02/2005 23:14

I think they were voted for through the Channel 4 website, weren't they? I have not heard of a lot of the films!

Beaches

Was about to go yeah right...but..lost a friend last year I hadn't seen for years, but we all kept in touch via each other in the group if that makes sense.

The night she died my kitchen clock stopped at the same time.

Just now as she died, a gust of cold wind passed through the room and the dog started to whine.

And I am not that way inclined IYKWIM

Spooky

Getting through a lot of tissues as we roll into the final twenty...

Truly Madly Deeply

To Kill a Mockingbird (one of my fave books of all time) Didn't everyone want Gregory Peck to be their Dad? If I ever had another ds I think I'll call him Atticus.

Love Braveheart - even the disembowelling. They may take his innards but they'll never take his soul. Och aye.

Dead Poets Society...not seen this for years, looks well cheesy.

Sophie's Choice is a really, really good film but very harrowing. Book's good too.

Never seen Brief Encounter.

Watership Down is horrid.

Terms of Endearment - just don't like Jack Nicholson.

Gone With The Wind - saw this on Tv with my Mum when I was about 8 so has good memories for me. Also the first time I ate Chinese takeaway food!

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 23:36

Beaches is so OTT and one of those films I would never watch with dh - but it's a real weepie.

Next time something like this is on we should have a MN meet-up in my living room!

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 23:38

Not sure I would have chosen that for No 1 - but Elliot's audition tape got me more than the actual film did.

marthamoo · 14/02/2005 00:02

Very cathartic, all that.

marthamoo · 14/02/2005 00:03

I'll help you with the head ripping. Who picked him?

LapsedGymJunkie · 14/02/2005 00:03

I didn't cry enough I want my money back

Snugs · 14/02/2005 00:03

I would quite happily rip it off and give it to my DS's to play football.

LapsedGymJunkie · 14/02/2005 00:04

His boyfriend ??

jodee · 14/02/2005 00:04
