Holy heart this isn't over until MIDNIGHT !!

Still waiting for a really good cry, the dog got me.

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 20:59

Snap Marthamoo

Was feeling sad, then the dog turned to the camera and I was gone.

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 20:59

Oh Sophie's Choice is a real, sob til you can't breathe jobbie, isn't it?

Also Beaches and Steel Magnolias.

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 21:00

Ok tv in another room

Tell me when to go

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 21:00

Are the ad's over? PC is upstairs, TV is downstairs.

beansprout · 13/02/2005 21:00

Yep, Love Story now.

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 21:01

Marthamoo are you my twin tonight ??

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 21:03

Oooh Love Story. I must be, LGJ!

Surfermum · 13/02/2005 21:04

Beaches , Love Story . I have a lump in my throat just thinking about them. Am definitely not watching it. Dsd told me I was weird last night. If she comes home tonight and finds me blubbing it'll just confirm it.

Twiglett · 13/02/2005 21:05

Prunegirl - PMSL at your Bill Bailey crush.

melsy · 13/02/2005 21:07

not sure the faking it bit was an all time tear jerker!!!

beansprout · 13/02/2005 21:08

Yuck to the boy being wrenched away from his real mum for the sake of realism.

melsy · 13/02/2005 21:12

eeww that sounds horrid beansprout. Im not watching it cos I dont wnat to set of fullblown tear jerking at melsy house tonight !!

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 21:16

I've seen Mr Holland's Opus - don't remember it being that bad!

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 21:16

Never got the Derek R thing until now, must be DS

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 21:17

Agree, that's horrible to do that to a child (Cathy Come Home). I wouldn't let anyone do that to one of mine.

beansprout · 13/02/2005 21:18

Really upset me. Have seen it before but am now the classic example of you-see-things-differently-once-you-have-kids. Don't think I can watch Sophie's Choice. Surely that 's not a "tear jerker", it's just horrific.

LapsedGymJunkie · 13/02/2005 21:19

That Royle Family scene always sets me off.

My D Dad and I struggled when I was a teenager to find a mutual place and in a row he said to me But you were the first child I ever loved, I love your sister and your brother but YOU were the first child I ever loved. Crying just thinking about it.

beansprout · 13/02/2005 21:20

Blimey, LGJ, you have set me off now!!!

marthamoo · 13/02/2005 21:21

Ohhhh... LGJ!
