The majority of the people banished have been women other than Richard and Joe, who both brought it on themselves.
I was pondering this yesterday. I checked the numbers - there were 11 men and and 10 women to start, and we are now, with 10 people left, at a 6 / 4 split.
Out of 6 banishments, 2 are men, 4 are women, that's a more obvious imbalance than in the 5 murders which are 3 men, 2 are women*.
But at this moment, it's a toss-up as to which of two of the remaining women will be banished, and out of the other two, one has repeatedly been brought up as a possible traitor.
Now the reason someone gets banished is always because the others have got something against them. I don't mean animosity, but just a thing that they have said or done, that can be held up as traitor behaviour.
Murders are different - people are either murdered because they are a threat to the traitors, or because they are no threat at all, and murdering them causes confusion.
So what we've got here is women leaving the game because people are suspicious of them, while men leave the game because people respect them.
*For the purpose if this, I am counting Bella as a woman. Let's not make it a thing.
