What do we think about the cliff hanger?
Did he swap or stick??

I have to say I am really enjoying this series. Is it like last year? No. But it still has a lot to enjoy and I'm happy to take that. I like the different spin James A gives and I like Joanne (and her nails).

He’s got to stick, if he changes it will look suspicious and right now the Faithful are jumping on any excuse.

Stick, for sure.

After Joanne or Sharon goes and someone is murdered it will be 3 traitors and 5 faithful left in the game. The next full RT is critical - if the faithful don’t find a traitor then after the subsequent murder they will be at 3 traitors and 3 faithful and the traitors will likely be able to get a faithful banished to become the majority.
Hopefully at 8 people around the RT they will look at everybody as a potential traitor. It feels like it’s the faithful’s last chance to get a victory. Surely someone will think ‘if the three most trustworthy were Maya, James A and Kenny why wasn’t one of them murdered last night?’
To try to prevent that thought coming up at the RT, the traitors need to murder someone smart like Romesh or possibly Michael.

Edited

But if it wasn’t for his vote counting double, Joanne would have been banished in the first round of voting. So he could potentially change his vote to Joanne and say it was because he didn’t feel he should have had such a sway in the voting so wanted to go with the majority from the previous round.

I am not sure if he will do that but it IS a possibility.

I think that’s a good theory but I am betting he keeps it simple and sticks to his guns, following their ‘all change looks bad’ theory.

Going back to Michael (poor Leanne and Sharon really have felt the brunt of his accusations - yes it’s a game but they have both seemed verging on upset at the RT), I am annoyed that my previous perception of him as excellent actor and philanthropist is giving way slightly to the ‘type of bloke who literally gets with someone a year younger than his daughter’ vibes…

CaveMum · 24/10/2026 15:02

Richard and Marina both agreed that the only 2 people they can see reversing the current trajectory are Bash and Romesh. Michael and James B are too happy to espouse their theories so in reality they are the only 2 who may have sussed things and be keeping it close to their chests until nearer the end, à la our beloved Jazatha Christie.

@CaveMum your mention of Bash is interesting. Maya voted for Bash at the first RT vote last night and there was a shot of him looking perplexed. Why did she vote for him? Because Kenny discussed him at the start of the RT? I think she may have also voted for him before last night.

I think - perhaps someone can confirm - that it was Bash who mentioned Maya as being a person flying under the radar while in the cars last night. Someone in the car disagreed with him but if he can pull on her flying under the radar and voting for him he might make a case that she could be a traitor. He needs to do it immediately after the RT though as he could be the next murder victim. And will anyone be willing to listen?

leopardandspots · 24/10/2026 15:32

I haven’t read all the threads but just wanted to share my theory. Richard E Grant ( as a widower) is especially close to his daughter Olivia:

  1. Richard E. Grant's first grandchild was born on Friday, June 5, 2026. I assume his daughter lives near him in Petersham ( London).
  2. The Traitors was filmed over about 16 to 18 days between late May and early June 2026 in Scotland.
  3. He had been away prior to the Traitors filming other stuff.

Miss Marple, here, would suggest that his “ I am a traitor” moment may have been designed to get the new Grandpa home ready for Olivia’s due date. Presumably whilst still securing his full fee?
The only mystery is was that with or without the agreement of the production team?!

JewelleryCat · 24/10/2026 15:39

Would that even be allowed @leopardandspots?

leopardandspots · 24/10/2026 15:40

It depends if his agent disclosed the daughter’s due date or not!!!

peckishcats · 24/10/2026 16:32

@leopardandspots I think those dates could be the regular Traitors filming dates, which would have been after the Celeb Traitors. Judging by the general appearance of the weather, plants, trees and surrounding countryside we've seen in this series, I don't think it was filmed during late May/early June. It was particularly noticeable when they were playing badminton, as the bushes next to it were pretty bare and nowhere near flowering, and that says 'spring' in the Scottish highlands to me. They were in flower when Alexander fell into them last year.

Timenowforanamechange · 24/10/2026 17:02

Thank you for the new thread.

Still laughing that the most trusted are the three traitors 😁

PuppyMonkey · 24/10/2026 17:13

The cliffhanger they’ve left it on this time is a bit crap as it’s obvious what Kenny will do if he doesn’t want to appear massively treacherous by randomly changing his first vote. A much better cliffhanger would be who is going to get murdered next…now that I am much more interested in!

TrepidationOfTheSpheres · 24/10/2026 17:14

I wonder if the fact that it was left on a cliff-hanger is a clue? Otherwise, if Kenny just went with Sharon as expected, why would they bother? Unless the rest of the series is boring enough they can't find a cliff hanger for next Thursday of course! They could have had the murder as the cliff hanger, and still had room for another roundtable/murder cliff hanger before the final.

I just assumed it fit with the timing of the edit and they’ve done that before when the round table has a tie-break situation.

He can be both at the same time - one is a good characteristic, the other not so much...

I think you’re right with both of those things, but I’m not sure. I think Bash has looked like he was picking up on things, and has mentioned it a little, but then he seems to swerve off and go with the flow at the round table. I keep thinking the traitors need to get rid of him, but nobody seems to notice. Everyone seems to ditch every thought and suspicion they have had the minute they get to the round table.

I don’t quite understand why everyone thinks Joanne is a bully. Miranda expressed her suspicions about Joanne and Joanne stood her ground and bounced it back at her. I didn’t understand why Miranda then stopped voicing her suspicions. Surely that’s how the round table works- you explain why you suspect someone and they then say why they’re not? And Joanne wasn’t a traitor, so I can see why she’d fight it.
I do feel for Sharron. I wish she’d defend herself a bit.

Maybe …but wiki and the independent both say Filming for the second series took place over 16 to 18 days between late May and early June this year…

Hi daughter & family live with him I believe.
I've just had a bit of a Google & an interview with him was published on June 4th so they must have all been finished by then or he wouldn't have been allowed to be interviewed about it.

Wasn't that for the American one? NBC says that was filmed from May-June 26.
