Strictly 2026 : THE LAUNCH SHOW 19.25hrs How will our new presenters fare ? NO SPOILERS

[EineReiseDurchDieZeit]

A shiny new thread for a shiny new series. Please bring your dancing shoes over here.

Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

KEEP DANCING 💃

Reckon Claud and Tess are a bottle down

The Doggy trainer man looks different without his glasses.

She seems so reserved and calm irl! Was expecting her to be more like kat is irl

Just popping in on the convo re: The Voice. It’s defo Alisha Dixon and Stacy Solomon hosting as I just went to a recording. That AD is quite a madam!

Think Lacey is just nervous.

Love Emma. Not so much the colour of her dress.

The JoJos just look like spare parts 🤷‍♀️

It needs to get a move on!

Emma's beautiful as usual!
I'm quite liking the new presenting trio.
A bit disappointed in the contestants though, I don't know half of them

This is going to be so long and drawn out
I want to see who Shaun Wright - Phillips is partnered with.

Mm 3 presenters sat togerher is weird. Come back Tess and Claudia all is forgiven.

Lol
probably!

Shirl looks sensational

Ooo was she a pain in the arse?

No wonder this is going to take 1hr 55 mins get on with it

Off to get my Too Good to Go bag from Aldi, I will have missed nothing by the time I come back lol

This new trio is great!

Josh Widdecombe is the most un alpha nerd on TV. Either of the other last leg guys would be better

I guess I just find it odd on the beeb. But you are correct. I am in Ireland and the way you pronounce dancing is the majority and I am in the minority.

I can’t work out how 3 presenters will work! Emma and Josh might have worked and I fear Johannes will be missed from being part of the competition itself.

Agree also about Emma’s dress. She’s beautiful but it does her no favours.

Love Lacey Turner. I really hope she does well!

Venetian Glow is making some of the women look very Trumpian, sorry.

Oh I love these new presenters!

Not passing judgement on the presenting until I’ve seen a proper week of strictly and see how it all works

Yes, but not on TV atm. It is Emma. Just watched it ! (am yours truly host of The Voice thread!).

Emma seems to have opted out of the strictly spray tan

'youve got 3 children' made me laugh

Yes thats what is missing, the presenters have no gravitas or presence - what adds to that is the way they are sitting - it isnt owning the set like they need to be
