Strictly 2026 : THE LAUNCH SHOW 19.25hrs How will our new presenters fare ? NO SPOILERS

[EineReiseDurchDieZeit]

A shiny new thread for a shiny new series. Please bring your dancing shoes over here.

Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

KEEP DANCING 💃

Is Emma taking the lead then?

Do we think Lacey is socially awkward irl?

I love Wossy. Bit of chutzpah. This lot look wet.

Stacey’s mum ( has got it going on)

Love Emma. Love her dress. Johannes is making me cringe already and not sure about the fella in glasses. 🤓. God help.

Does it matter?

Can’t get used to Lacey being so well spoken!

Graeme would probably be my pick for first out unless he gets some ballroom

I only know the dog trainer.

Far too much waffle and faffing around at the moment.

Gwen from Gavin & Stacey looks a bit like Carol Voderman and I like her sense of humour

Lacey Turner ! I love her

Lacey is quite posh

Cringe at the script coming out of Josh and Jo s mouth.

Such an awkward dance on from him

I reckon Josh will come good. He's funny and used to being on live TV with the Last Leg. Johannes, no.

Not at all, I love her. She just comes across in an unexpected way for me

I am worried Lauren will be paired with one of the older men and be first out.

Lacey is so posh!

Why? I pronounce dancing like her. We don't all speak with a southern accent. I know it's the BBC but even they let people from the Midlands present shows now,

The presenter volume is weird, not confident at all

He does he goes to classes with his wife as a date night reconnecting thing and got quite into it

I love Jaime Winstone

Johannesburg is lovely but he's not a presenter and it shows.

Sooo much waffle and faff

Johannes is mumbling, no?
