Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

Johannes is obviously presenting because he can speak with authority about the dancing, Emma is presenting because she is a proper, vastly experienced live TV pro, but I’m not sure what Josh is supposed to bring. He looks like a spare part.

I don't usually watch the launch but DH is out and I have been working all day so...

Emma is a very safe pair of hands! So they needed two of them to do Claudia's bit upstairs

You know when you go to a party and all the plus one partners end up at one table while the actual friends are away chatting….thats what it feels like with Emma, Josh and Johannes….the plus ones who don’t know anyone and have nothing in common.

Thanks for the thread, think I will dip in and out of it. i used to be adore Strictly and never missed a single show but got tired of it a few years ago and stopped watching. Am going to hold back and see what people think about the changes and maybe watch it on catch up but I think my days of being a real fan are over. It started to feel stale a few years ago

I’m impressed with Emma - normally find her shouty but she’s much calmer and mature & liking that she’s not permatanned! Wonder if she shouts when she’s presenting to a younger demographic - pleasant surprise.

I’d love to see Ray Winston on it as I love him ! He’d be funny.
