Ep1 on Apple TV now. I’m keen to see all the old characters - but this review isn’t altogether encouraging:

It is hard to follow at times isn’t it.
I found the other seasons a bit easier , but this one is harder and no idea what they want.

all these random overlapping baddies take away time from the actual SH, who are the most fun part of the series!

I also don't understand why River turned round and drove back to the base. Surely if he'd kept driving they'd have followed him, thus giving Sid more time to escape and them a wider area to search for her over when they did finally stop him and realise she wasn't in the car. Turning straight back meant she only had a very short head start and there was a very limited area she could be in!

I didn’t get why River went back. I just hope he knows what he is doing.

I thought they were going to cut to an image of Jane on the plane waiting for Sid and waiting to finish her off, put there by Diana, but my theory obviously wasn't right, Inwas quite adament that she couldn't be dead though. Can't wait for next week

Jack Lowden doing his River accent just gives me such Simon Pegg vibes that I can’t take him seriously. I keep expecting him to casually try to jump a fence.

I want to know how after such an amazing car crash they crawled out injury free and managed to walk,run, fight and scuffle in the water without one twinge.
Even the Russian after his fight with Coe had incredible energy.

I love River. Now someone has said he gives Simon Pegg vibes i cant unsee that! However i love Simon Pegg too!
But as others have said there seems to be little dialogue and more action this series. Which is a shame because the banter made it so British and funny.

And I cant agree on KST as beautiful, nope she looks like a very well dressed owl.

Yes, too much chasing. not enough dialogue. Not enough Lamb.

They have aged Diana, I don’t think it is just natural aging of KST, who I do think is beautiful, but she is wearing dowdy clothes, looking tired (as well she might) and not as sharp and on top of things as usual.

Omg River is SO the SPIT of Simon Peg - which makes him annoying to me. He should really have been cast more handsome.

The Russians and bloody violence is starting to get a bit much. And the women in Lady Di’s holiday home all annoying each other are a bit ridiculous. Are they trying to be funny?

I’m sure the kid who was in AIBU was wearing that same orange puffer jacket too.
Not feeling this series. Harumphf!

Lenny rush is funny though.!
It is annoying when the baddies all get up and barely brush themselves down before off killing again.

He is funny.

I like the over the top baddies, it's part of the fun.

Great episode again. Shirley making petrol bombs with those school tea towels

It's all very cat and mouse. And silly. Man terminator had so much energy left after being stabbed and a car crash. And then woman one is alive after all.

The choice of colour palette and filters are making everything ugly.

I think that’s the point with River though, he doesn’t really think things through before acting and just does stuff such as driving in circles instead of getting immediately away from the airfield etc. It’s usually the bad decision instead of the logical one hence why he’s a Slow Horse!
Love the flirting between River and Sid and the look of internal cringe on River’s face after he says “apparently you can have a lot of fun in the dark” 😂.
KST’s wardrobe I feel is deliberate to reflect the predicament she’s in this season.

The flirting part was really nice. I thought his smile was just right. Was a nice moment.

Diana looked a bit vulnerable at the end which was great acting.

As I said, wrt Diana, she's got what she's always wanted and it's not going well. She isn't her usual confident self.

Yes I found that all a bit daft, particularly the escape.

Also I’m amazed Lamb was let through the door of a ballet school looking like he does!

Lamb at the ballet was funny, but I agree that he wouid have been turned away irl!
