Not me!

I’m not sure how Lamb got the keys to Diana’s house but I reckon it’d have a decent alarm system if realistic. And it’s too nice to trash. The angry one is a bit irritating.

MsAlignment · 11/10/2026 20:08

Shirley?

Adorable!

Not me!

No I know sorry, I should have made a separate comment as it wasn’t directed at you.

EventuallyDiscussed · 12/10/2026 22:05

Only just found this thread. Just watched Ep4 tonight. I liked Coe too Sad. I am finding it a bit confusing having read all the books and the storylines don't really seem to be going anywhere, well very slowly. I find it hard to believe that that many assassinations have been carried out without someone noticing apart from the Slow Horses.

CafedelaButte · 14/10/2026 15:48

Wow! Diana has veins of ice 😳

MsAlignment · 14/10/2026 17:39

That was a tad too exciting!

Blimey! Lady Di is a total ice queen isn’t she.

YellingAway · 14/10/2026 20:58

She really does, but I hope she stays! Does Sid have the safe house address?

northernbarbie · 14/10/2026 20:59

Just finished it and all I can think is poor Sid!

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2026 21:03

Yep, Sid thrown under the bus there.

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2026 21:04

That safe house is beautiful. House envy
I liked Shirley casually making petrol bombs ! As you do !

MsAlignment · 14/10/2026 21:10

Generally I’m thrilled by brutalist architecture. But that seemed such a miserable grey bunker in the middle of the countryside.

I like the lay out of it.

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2026 21:14

I have such a crush on River. Just something about him.

MoscowRules · 14/10/2026 21:18

I wonder why Jackson didn’t tell the safe house crew that Coe had died, presumably he knew as River told him on the call from the car.

I eyerolled when the female GRU agent was not dead. Dull, I had hoped the terminator tribute act had finished.

the80sweregreat · 14/10/2026 21:21

Lamb doesn’t like people knowing too much.
At least they are all out of that dreadful office for a change.

YellingAway · 14/10/2026 21:38

Does Lamb know that Coe is dead and River isn’t at the safe house?

beguilingeyes · 14/10/2026 22:20

Bloody hell, that was good. Gutted that there's only one left.

Yep. Plus they should have checked.

It was good other than that.

Agree, great episode apart from “Jane” escaping. I love the backchat between the safe house residents, good to have Ho back even if it was only for a few moments. And River and Sid slowly growing closer.

MsAlignment · 15/10/2026 10:20

Well I’ve completely forgotten how it unfolded from this point in the novel - but my initial thought would be that ‘Jane’ had been removed, rather than escaping under her own steam. She didn’t look quite fit enough to run away when we last saw her …

It’s true, the safe house residents’ banter is outstanding. 😂 (I am coincidentally watching Mobland for the first time, and there a wonderfully contrasting safe house episode.) Having said that we don’t get much character development through the seasons, the sharply individualised portrayals of the people in the house - and how they each inhabit and behave in it - is incredibly satisfying.

I do feel I’m missing out through not finding River at all exciting. He’s not hideous - just (to me) completely bland. Coe at least had some wit and swagger to him.

I’m glad we’re seeing Ho being of some use this season. I find his characterisation in the novels … problematic.

Really excellent episode all round!

I'm trying to figure out what will happen in the finale...it differs so much from the books

PrivateCapacityFanny · 15/10/2026 19:36

I did enjoy it but it was bordering on the silly I thought. The whole black ops rendition thing was too OTT.

Still will be sad this time next week when it's another six month wait.

and - being very pedantic here - a style of house that was extremely unlikely to have cut glass antique floral door handles, £500 or not, as per Ho's comment to Shirley! I suppose that could have been for her other house but that's also very modernist.

I don't really get what River's father and his goons add to the story. It's already complex enough with the Harry Lloyd/Cantor AKA GB News Russian TV plot and Russian Goth Terminator Duo with the overlap with Taverner and the politician - not really sure why some random American assassin needed to get involved (I mean, I assume it's from the books, but just seems OTT).
