I think that the receptionist was in ‘ this country ‘ and played Mandy.

PrivateCapacityFanny · 02/10/2026 08:15

Great episode, was very annoyed I couldn't watch the next one which is unusual for me.It's so far from the books now I have no idea what's going to happen next which I am quite enjoying.

I did like Lamb just ignoring the child's boundaries but thought he went a bit soft with the farting scene. Hope the Russian assassins find a suitable ending before they kill too many of the Horses.

Coe is playing Mr Collins in the new Pride and Prejudice. Jack Lowden as Darcy. It's going to give the thing a whole new slant...

Well, I got that completely wrong. He's John Dashwood in the new Sense and Sensibility. Getting my Austen's mixed up.

the80sweregreat · 02/10/2026 08:54

The assassins have killed two and one has been saved.
I am guessing they want them all gone, so staying one step ahead is going to be hard.

2026onwardsandup · 04/10/2026 17:42

Just rewatched ep 2 and then ep 3 . It isn’t the sort of show that you can watch whilst scrolling / checking things on your phone as it moves so much / will miss clues etc .

I am really enjoying it , yes it is confusing - are the 2 plots connected / running in parallel ? Brilliant characters and the interaction between them is great . Love the dialogues between Diana and Lamb .

They are all so cynical and damaged but do look out for the other Slow Horses .
Interesting that they have brought back 2 characters which obviously ties in with the plot of protecting all those connected to Slow Horses .

the80sweregreat · 07/10/2026 18:51

Diane is rattled today isn’t she.

CafedelaButte · 07/10/2026 20:04

@the80sweregreat She really was! Flyte was right, she will do anything to save face (herself!)

the80sweregreat · 07/10/2026 20:05

Diane is only in it fit herself isn’t she. Ruthless

wontsomeonethinkofthechimdren · 07/10/2026 21:32

Why did the River crew keep stopping and hanging round for ages, and how were the Russians tracking them?

the80sweregreat · 07/10/2026 21:35

Is Coe dead ?

LaurieFairyCake · 07/10/2026 21:38

Looks like it 😞 I really liked him

the80sweregreat · 07/10/2026 21:40

I liked Coe too. Poor bloke

DuncinToffee · 07/10/2026 21:42

River is just useless.

I liked Coe too

YellingAway · 07/10/2026 22:45

I also liked Coe and hoped he would win.
I did wonder why Lamb light up the cigarette and then watched the chaos that ensued which was brilliant. Also couldn’t help noticing that his feet were up off the ground and which I can’t help but notice now knowing the back story.

CrossPurposes · 07/10/2026 22:52

The quietest service station loos ever.

2026onwardsandup · 07/10/2026 23:13

i agree I couldn’t understand why the River trio were so laidback at the service station . They acted as though they were on holiday with not a care in the world ! The reality was they had ruthless assassins following them and they knew they had already killed multiple others .

The Russian assassins also seem to be able to kill freely / shoot indiscriminately in public places / in broad daylight at times .

TheSmellOfSea · 08/10/2026 01:04

It all got a bit ridiculous for me tbh.

Coe 😪

EasternStandard · 08/10/2026 07:57

It was good but I find the assassins annoying. Like slow walking terminators.

MoscowRules · 08/10/2026 08:42

Yes I likened Jim and Jane to terminators too. The chase has started to feel a bit samey across episodes.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 08:53

The two assassins are ruthless. They often have a man and a woman like this in dramas don’t they.
I am wondering if Sid killed the women in Kazan ? Im
normally on the wrong track though.

DuncinToffee · 08/10/2026 09:27

I like the ruthlessness of the Russian killers, they make me gasp.

Definitely a nod to other spy dramas.

BestIsWest · 08/10/2026 09:48

I’m sad about Coe. River is useless. Not enough Roddy Ho in this series. I’m a bit fed up of the assassins to be honest.

Xiaoxiong · 08/10/2026 10:02

Yes I'm also starting to think that Taverner actually did send Sid to Kazan, and that's why Slough House were told she was dead. And also why she thinks Taverner will help her, and also also why Taverner is willing to give her up (because it will cover up the hit she ordered).

Yep I hope they’re taken out but maybe they’re a whole series thing.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 10:14

The tv man has Tavener where he wants her. I am surprised she wasn’t sent to Slough house for doing that interview! She may end up there one day.
