I always enjoy watching Ian so it could have been a worse episode I suppose.

We know Ned's M.O. as a therapist - get information and then blackmail them. That will be what's he's intending. I am not sure what Ian could possibly reveal though that everyone doesn't already know!

Wadey cannot do 'suspense' can he. Ryder gives a big speech about why daddy cannot know, and 3 minutes later he's snogging a lad a few yards from his front door and daddy sees him.🙄

Shelling , yep; he’ll get Ian to ‘ open up ‘ and then use it against him. What a snake

Hello all 👋

Haven’t posted here for a bit, but felt compelled to pop in today to say how bloody awful I’m finding EE at the moment!

WTF is going in with all these daft storylines? Why are we being subjected to this awful ‘Nic’s family’ bunch?

I can’t think of a worse run of episodes than over the last few weeks and I’ve been watching EE since it started.

Please make it stop!

I’m sticking with it for NYD to be honest. I can’t bear the thought that Oscar is kidnapped. Lauren can die though lol

Why are they letting good characters like Oscar go?! (I liked Priya too…and is Penny going too? Another interesting character).

Who on earth thought any of the storylines involving Nicola’s family were good? Who cares?! And who cast these actors?! Atrocious.

Why are there so many wacky new storylines being introduced - Nancy having Lee’s baby, for example - when there are already so many outlandish plots that have just been left hanging?

So many questions. It’s exhausting! 🤣😩

Is penny off too? Oh no. Just as I have got to like her

I took a good while to warm to Penny, too @the80sweregreat but I think she has become a solid character who could develop well. She’s funny and smart.

Maybe she’s not going?! I thought I read a spoiler here saying she was at some stage…but might have got that wrong!

Hope penny stays on. She isn’t bad and a good actress.

I agree it's really poor at the moment. It has been sliding towards the drain for months now.

They have no choice letting Oscar (❤) leave if the actor wants to go - and can you blame him! And Linda too, who would want to stick around at the moment.

I have not heard anything about Penny leaving. I wouldn't be bothered if she did, she's okay but not a favourite.

I will miss Oscar and Linda, but people move on and it is what it is. Her going off to care for lee’s baby , nice move ( if that happens) and I hope she ditches Max too.

Nicola is very good to Ryder. She’s definitely going to go head to head with Ned. He gives me the creeps.

Ned plays a good baddie. Why Gemma hasn’t sussed him I am not sure. Obviously oblivious to his dubious personality.

I get the impression that Gemma is very placid and likes to avoid any conflict. She probably has got use to keeping the peace as her husband bullies her DS and pulls fast ones.

Yep, Gemma just keeps the peace. Learnt behavior I suppose.

Good point. She's probably witnessed it growing up and saw how Nicola was treated for speaking up so learned it's easier to turn a blind eye.

Is Ned in the closet? He's very down on a gay son for someone who is only.in his 40s.

Gemma married a carbon copy of her dad, so she is used to men behaving like this. She is also completely blind to her entire family's behaviour, she didn't notice her dad was an abuser or her mother is a nightmare - or her son is gay. And apparently Rose hasn't noticed he's gay either. The entire family seem to operate as strangers to each other.

It's hard to imagine Rose ever looking pleased about anything!
