Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Yes they are laying the villainy on fairly thick now. I wonder how long before Nic puts him in a shallow grave. Easter?

I still don't no where Jodie fits into all this. She seems like an annoyance without a purpose.

Ticks a diversity box, I suppose. And takes part in allegedly funny scenes. That are not in any way funny.

Shellingbynight · 08/10/2026 08:02

If she's supposed to be comedic they have definitely missed the mark!

Urgentbiscuitrequired · 08/10/2026 08:28

They seem to be angling Jodie as a love interest for Kojo since they initially couldn't stand each other. Going for the opposites eventually attract thing.

New families never land well in EE, but there isn't a great deal to this one. I think the issue is the matriarch lady. I hate it when they really make them blatant battle axes when they get introduced, but she is quite subtle and distant with everyone. A very closed book, so aside from the nasty quips, I'm not getting the favouritism for the other sisters much. I think it is very interesting how she defends the abusive husband though and has this facade of being very self assured, but must be quite vulnerable to just accept that treatment.

Urgentbiscuitrequired · 08/10/2026 08:30

I do think Nicola will off Ned at some point. He has the same vibe as her Dad was meant to be.

Shellingbynight · 08/10/2026 08:34

Yes that's a good point, Gemma has in effect married her dad.

Rose does seem very closed off, she has no personality other than 'snarky'.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 08:35

Maybe Nicola will kill off Ned with Harry’s help ( he has form ) or possibly Gemma. Bury him under the Vic?
It won’t be till next year as they must start getting ready for the big Christmas and new year stories soon.
Nic is part of that with her bad foot.

storminabuttercup · 08/10/2026 08:56

What annoyed me last night was the disappearing fish and chips, Nic bought them all, ate a few on the bench (while they chatted letting the rest go cold) then they went to the club
fish and chips for all those people aren’t cheap

this is how boring it is at the min 😂

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 08:58

Kojo is normally a fairly good judge of character, so he may stay away from Jodie. I doubt he would appreciate her sense of humour at others expense, but this is EE where they put the strangest people together sometimes that would never gel in real life at all.
( like Janine and Mick !)

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 08:59

Yes, buying take aways isn’t cheap anymore is it ! I thought that too with the chips.

MyWildOliveGoose · 08/10/2026 09:14

I hope Kojo does stay away from Jodie, I don’t like her at all, they’ve not introduced the character well.

Ned spying on Ian, gathering info, and then worming his way in. It was probably him that spray painted the chippy today - only 10 mins in so this may be revealed.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 10:12

Yes, he probably did spray the chip shop because it said ‘ killer ‘and Ned wasn’t aware that Jordan wasn’t killed. Only a guess though , but he did want to talk to Ian so a good excuse to buy the white spirit.

Southeastdweller · 08/10/2026 10:17

I’ve quite enjoyed this week’s episodes as I like Nicola and she’s played really well, it’s just Jodie (agree - tickbox casting) and Ryder who feel superfluous and annoying. They probably will kill off Ned, it’s an EE trope that the villains get killed most of the time. Jamie Bamber is also excellent in his role. But almost anything is better than Denise and her daft story.

I've enjoyed seeing the Carters back together despite the annoying storyline. Nancy is very natural and works well with Linda. Lee has always been a PITA but at least he feels like a believable character unlike most of the Hawkins. It has revived Linda too, she is back to being Linda rather than gazing at Max.

When Linda and Johnny leave it is going to leave Elaine all alone, they will need to pair her up with someone.

Alucard55 · 08/10/2026 10:59

Just catching up. I think most of the characters have been really irritating so far this week. Linda screeching and shouting at Lee and Nancy, Kathy nagging Harvey, Nicola (who I like) doing "remember the good times" with Gemma. Ryder and Jodie have faces that make my blood boil. Ned is a big little man creepy bastard. Far too much Harvey and I know Lilly is a child and it was for plot reasons but I'm finding her a bit manipulative with Harvey. I've no money Harvey, I've nobody to look after Charli Harvey.

I won't pretend to understand why there was a mock inspection on the day Ian was released from prison. Agree the ages with the sisters makes no sense at all. I think Nicola looks great her skin and hair are fabulous but she's definitely not 41. Gemma has had so much fillers and Botox it's difficult to age her accurately. Apologies but it's needed saying.

murasaki · 08/10/2026 11:53

I'm sure Ned is after Ian's businesses, he's just playing a long game and I don't know what it is yet. Maybe he'll convince him to let him buy in, then provoke him and get him recalled to clink then take over. He's a cuckoo.

storminabuttercup · 08/10/2026 12:10

Hmmm if Ned is dodgy and Ian and max are friends by new year could Ned be the kidnapper?

I still think it’s Ravi but it’s thrown a new hat in the mix?

could Ned torch the chippy ?

Shellingbynight · 08/10/2026 12:13

I agree with you @Alucard55 about just the sight of some of the Hawkins sending me into a rage!

We know Ian is all smiles and positively smug on NYD so Ned's evil plan must come to nothing.

It would be more interesting if wasn't Ravi wasn't the gunman. But I bet he is.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 08/10/2026 15:14

I think someone on here nailed it a while back that the pregnant lady is Priya and Cindy has framed Max for her murder.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 18:31

Ned won’t be happy that Ryder likes men.
I found him helping Ian a bit sinister , but only because we know he is a baddie !

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 19:38

I was impressed that Lily gave the money back to Harvey. She has some morals , but she may change over time.

Urgentbiscuitrequired · 08/10/2026 19:47

Isn't Sean meant to be coming back? I'm guessing that Ned miraculously knows him from the army as well. I can actually see Sean and Nic being a good pairing if it wasn't for George.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 19:50

Oh yes! Sean. When is he back ? Must be soon.

the80sweregreat · 08/10/2026 19:50

As for George, Nicola can easily dump him. His hardly around as it is! Lol

murasaki · 08/10/2026 19:58

True, he probably wouldn't even notice.
