The theme of violent men killing mostly women is so stark in this series. What happens to these men to make them such monsters?

Poor Jamie, really disturbing.

Both of those men should have already been in jail imo.

O guess though at that point they had to believe his story she attacked him and it was self defence?

Glad they saw through it quickly and had evidence to dispute it.

The guy who murdered his wife will inherit everything - his wife is dead so house etc goes to him -he may own house outright as she dies and insurance might mean it’s hers or her half is paid for

the law needs changed -he is also the children’s parent so calls the shots there

What a horrible episode. Both perpetrators were pure evil to treat other human beings with such aggression and violence.

I worry that with the early release scheme, the 18 yrs 2 months man will be out in about 6 years.

He's a Christian, so probably wants to behave in a Christian way because it comforts him to think he'll see Jamie again

There should be a longer sentence for those (it seems nearly all) who reply ‘no comment’ to every police question - they are surely deliberately not assisting the police.

Even someone innocent is advised to go no comment with the police as they might try and stitch you up and put words in your mouth. It's their job to prove guilt.

If police stop you in the street and ask to have a word, you say "have I committed a crime" and they say no, you say "am I free to go?"

Also I think i heard on a programme that it if they say no comment to something then later come up with a story the first 'no comment' comment can make the story less likely. Not sure if explained that right 😂 so sometimes hearing no comment can be quite useful

You can't force people to speak. Unless you think the way to get them to speak is via torture.
