New thread for anyone watching

Last nights DPD case update was very good

Why did he get so little prison sentence?

Monzo1ss · 02/08/2026 23:45

I just finished watching the DPD part 4 episodes, can’t believe 2 of them are still on the run. That final message seemed ominous though, wouldn’t be surprised if we get a part 5 in future. I assume the 2 on the run might feel more relaxed if they ever see that their whereabouts are unknown, hopefully that leads to them slipping up and being extradited. I think one of the two outstanding was the one who used a machete so he definitely needs to be locked up immediately

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 03/08/2026 15:28

Did they have the identities of the two outstanding suspects?

I liked it when one of them was arrested in Austria and blindfolded, one of the UK police said something about they don’t fuck about over there!

15 years for cold blooded murder is a disgrace. Her poor daughter, I have a dd around the same age and it’s harrowing to think of what she’s gone through.

15 years?!

I’ve just watched the Cheryl McKenna case. 15 years is an absolute travesty. He was clearly controlling - with the stalking/tracking devices.

And then he murdered her with her daughter upstairs and on the birthday of her other child.

What an utter disgrace of a man. And what a shocking sentence. Just shows VAWG really isn’t important at all.

RIP Cheryl.

Anyone watched tonight’s episode? What a complete psychopath.

I caught bits of it, and what I saw I thought he thought he is so clever. Nasty man. I guess too much alcohol and drugs will do that to you. Hope he gets his just desserts.

Urgentbiscuitrequired · 05/08/2026 06:46

He's a proper wrong un. Really scary, saddistic guy and it's sad as the man who helped him was a really nice guy trying to get himself out of a bad situation.

I noticed the perpetrator had a massive scar across the top of his head, so I'm wondering if there was a brain injury somewhere in the past. Don't get me wrong I've worked with people who have brain injuries and I'm not saying they are all psychopaths here, but I'm wondering if the affect of this combined with his lifestyle on his behaviour has been ignored by professionals.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 05/08/2026 08:13

@Urgentbiscuitrequired I thought the same thing, I was also a bit confused that he didn’t spend longer in hospital given he’d had a seizure and significant head injury. The second seizure he had he was posturing.

I mean he’s definitely evil and needs locking up but I was surprised.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 05/08/2026 08:15

I also wondered if he should have even been released from prison, didn’t they say he’d only been out 6 weeks and had a long history of violent assaults including battering his grandmother?!

How on Earth was he allowed to walk free and for no one to be keeping an eye on him? 😳

heartsinvisiblefury · 05/08/2026 08:25

is the DPD episode a follow on from the episodes last season or just a repeat?

Because services are stretched to the bone.

This is horrendous tonight that evil scum bag. That poor man Jamie. How he must have suffered. The phone recording really nailed him

placemats · 05/08/2026 21:32

The tattoo Natural Born Killer on his back was perhaps a clue?

Gengha · 05/08/2026 21:34

His father has forgiven his killer. Oh my god what a man.

He was so arrogant as well.

In the end he knew he was caught and so just couldn’t comment.

Glad he got the 30 years he suspected.

This piece of shit serial domestic abuser, attacks
his partner with a meat cleaver. In the police interview his solicitor is rubbing him on his back, asking if he’s ok, because he’s upset. It’s given me the absolute rage.

I was absolutely disgusted by that also. Felt it was incredibly unprofessional.
Can’t even imagine what those initial police officers walked into.

I wondered if she was an appropriate adult and if the solicitor was the other person. Another scumbag.

That poor woman. That she survived is an absolute miracle.

hourspassed · 05/08/2026 22:05

The man who murdered Jamie was pure evil. I hope he dies in jail - I don't suppose he will ever get out.

The guy who almost murdered the lady who he called his partner? Absolute animal, so many convictions for violence. I hope he rots in jail too and never gets parole. I agree with the back rubbing from his solicitor - unbelievable! I know everyone needs a fair trial but ... I could never be a criminal defence lawyer. I'd never be able to sleep at night.

There is so much work to be done to support women who find themselves getting close to men like this. How on earth can we stop it? To find yourself so vulnerable, low and worthless that you think a life with a disgusting excuse for a man like this is a good option. It's just the saddest thing.😓😓I hope the lady has been able to rebuild a life for herself and has found happiness.

purpleme12 · 05/08/2026 22:14

Bloody hell the last bit of that episode yesterday was really really disturbing

Yes I thought appropriate adult as well.

He wanted to know if she had died and his only concern was the years in prison. Nasty piece of work and 18 years?

So much admiration for the woman who survived.

purpleme12 · 05/08/2026 22:39

Wow another video tonight

This is awful

purpleme12 · 05/08/2026 23:14
