CORONATION STREET THREAD. Things are heating up! We should be finding out who killed Theo soon! Now in mid June 2026. **No spoilers please.**

So the 'Who Killed Theo' saga carries on. I think we should find out who it is soon... Fit Kit and Swain are on the case still. (For what its worth!) 😆

Poor Sam has been sectioned, and is quite unwell, and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Gary and Sarah are in cahoots about something, (related to Theo's death, I think.) Oh, and Maria thinks they're having an affair.

Some random lads are chasing and threatening Brodeh. Who knows why!

Ma Driscoll has been quiet for a while.

Will is still sneakily staying in touch with Megan Trainer!

Alya's cousin Idris (who has never been mentioned before AFAIK) has appeared on the street, and has been seeing Leanne.

Carl, Kevin, and dishy Ronnie have buried the hatchet (for now! Hopefully it lasts!)

And what is Jodie going to do with Carl's gun?!

Sorry if I've missed anything!

I've now looked into the 'theo tache' scenario, and it does seem that it's being claimed by some people that it's dried blood. First of all why does he have dried blood under his nose? Did he bang it on the scaffold tower? And secondly, WHY does it look exactly like a moustache?! 😆

Seriously, the make up department need some retraining! 😬

Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Corrie to have a temporary character who killed Theo rather than Sarah? Now who knows when the police will find out unless Gary will confess all to Maria and Sarah does the same with Kit

I did not think they would want to turn yet another regular character onto a killer but it shows they do not care a jot about the long term future of the show.

Sarah who has been on the show nearly 40 years joins the likes of Gary, Tracy, Toyah and Lauren and the whole court case will be remarkably similar to the last one on that list.

JewelleryCat · 23/06/2026 09:11

Sarah has been in Corrie that long? Maybe the writers need to look back at when Corrie started and just have lighthearted stuff now. I wonder what the storylines were in the 60s

FeltCarrot · 23/06/2026 09:26

I’d forgotten about Lauren killing Joel. What’s worrying is she doesn’t seem to have any remorse for her actions. I think Gary did, fleetingly, seem to suffer some guilt, but most of them seem to be able to shrug off the fact that they’ve murdered someone and carry on as before!

Thistooshallpass. · 23/06/2026 09:40

Didn’t George hit Theo ? Hence the bloodied tache ?!

In my experience a psychiatric hospital is a noisy, chaotic, frightening place to be, no sign of any of that where Sam is.

I agree.
My mum had a diagnosis of schizophrenia (she was diagnosed as a teenager before I was born).
She spent her final days in a psychiatric unit after being sectioned (and refusing medication). It was absolutely heartbreaking seeing her there and begging me to take her home.
It's a year ago this month since we lost her. She was 79, but I often wonder if it was the stress of being sectioned against her will that caused her to decline so quickly. She had pneumonia which led to cardiac arrest.

Perhaps the first scene tonight will be Theo getting up and someone else bashing him over the head ?

Toyah never seems troubled and she did not even act in self defence

She admitted what she did but they never really explained why she did it

Tracy sometimes jokes about her murder

Corrie has an obsession with female killers whereas in reality over ninety percent are male

the80sweregreat · 23/06/2026 11:04

It would make more sense that Theo’s murderer was a man. Seems you’ve had a lot of female murderers already on this show.

She is only 42 - she's been in Corrie 25 years.

Shellingbynight · 23/06/2026 11:19

Tina O'Brien used to be such a good actress, and now she wanders through dramatic plots with hardly any expression. Kill Theo with scaffolding pole - tick. Cover it up - tick. Next.

I've watched today's and it's better than yesterday's - it's only half the length😆
No not just that, actually it wasn't bad.

1reason · 23/06/2026 11:24

@Shellingbynight

I agree! New stories made it better than the 'big reveal' last night.
I definitely prefer the short 30 min ( 22 mins) episodes.

the80sweregreat · 23/06/2026 11:32

Maria was funny with the put downs.
Will they still go to Disney land ? He should cancel that trip I think.

Only 42? She looks amazing!

zanahoria · 23/06/2026 11:46

Tina O'Brien is 42

Sarah is 39 and has been in Corrie since birth aside from her spell in Milan

I know, she's stunning!

Shellingbynight · 23/06/2026 11:54

Yes the character of Sarah has been on the show for nearly 40 years but Tina joined the show for the up the duff storyline when Sarah-Lou was 12.

She looks eternally 28.

12234m · 23/06/2026 12:55

Thank you very much.

also, did Todd confirm Sarah and Gary are cheating?

the80sweregreat · 23/06/2026 13:14

Todd did say to Sarah that she was cheating with Gary and she didn’t deny it did she.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 23/06/2026 13:19

RudolphTheReindeer · 23/06/2026 00:46

Well Sarah has form. Isn't there still a body under the platts garage/converted granny annex that Sarah and kylie buried?

No they found Callum didn’t they but they managed to pass it off as Jason’s dad being the killer (and he was already dead too)

Will Be interesting to see how this pans out as I’m sure we would have heard in media if Sarah and Gary were leaving

dailychallenge · 23/06/2026 06:09

Theo was alive when he fell. Did anyone else see his feet move when Gaz had arrived.

Because shock horror the actor wasn’t actually dead ! Sorry I couldn’t resist lol

MrsPapillon · 23/06/2026 13:40

Surely if you were Gary/Sarah, you’d just say “It’s a fair cop, we’ve been banging away for months” to deflect attention. They’d lose their relationships but it’s preferable to life imprisonment (not that anybody has every done more than 6 months for murder on the street).
