I think the idea behind staying is just giving the idea of marriage a go - a relationship you can’t just say you’ve had enough of. It’s a different mindset to dating or even a serious relationship.

I agree that some of the matching is ropey. They should also address the issue that larger ladies and dorky guys are a possibility in the experiment. Both groups get a hard time of MAFS.

Yeah but if one writes leave they both have to stay for another week until both can leave. And apparently production speak to couples separately to persuade them to stay. That could be emotionally manipulative.

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain I agree, Stevo seems like a nice bloke who has no doubt got plenty of friends (who may have ribbed him for being single for so long and egged him on to do this). I just can't fathom why they put him with Rachel. It feels to me like he is walking on eggshells the whole time for the sake of the ixpirimint, maybe thinking that bending himself out of shape is what he has to do if he wants a successful relationship, which is terrible 'advice' for anyone.

Bird talk. I think I saw some speckled dark smallish birds today when out. What are they? I have house martins nesting in space below eaves of house. Local cats try to get them (they can’t!). It’s too high for the cats to climb to.

I’m sure his blinking is contact lens related more than anything, and not a cue for fibs. I also think he’s very concerned about how he is portrayed, so some of his reactions are possibly controlled to the point it doesn’t look genuine.

Placemarking for later! Had a bit of a traumatic weekend as the infamous cat had some sort of incident- not sure if he ate something poisonous or had a run in with something. Thought he was a goner, but he seems to be recovering (after iv fluids, activated charcoal, blood tests....) Hes still hiding away a bit, but im hoping he might be lured downstairs to come and sneer at MAFS...

So, if you like actual romance rather than toxic drama, I highly recommend the film You Me and Tuscany that I saw today at the cinema. It's really sweet and starts the gorgeous RegeJean Page. And is set in the equally gorgeous Tuscany!😁

Wow! Poor cat. Hope he’s ok. My old half Siamese cat bit into a flower one day and a vet visit was needed, but only antibiotics not IV drip.
