@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain I agree, Stevo seems like a nice bloke who has no doubt got plenty of friends (who may have ribbed him for being single for so long and egged him on to do this). I just can't fathom why they put him with Rachel. It feels to me like he is walking on eggshells the whole time for the sake of the ixpirimint, maybe thinking that bending himself out of shape is what he has to do if he wants a successful relationship, which is terrible 'advice' for anyone.

Im not sure that the experts should be called experts tbh. They aren't actually very good at matching people.

I think they’re complete rubbish at it. So many times it’s obvious that alternative matches would have been more successful. Especially when completely different couples turn up at the reunion.

It's not a spoiler is it, to say what Gia did? She just said one thing to one person, something else to another person and a third thing to a third person so that they all had different information. Basically just showed that she is a liar.

I do actually think that Rachel is too serious and uptight for him. If he was with someone chilled, he wouldn't be so scared and affection could have grown. They need to be genuinely relaxed together and he's just not. Look at the drama she made over his joke on honeymoon and the joke at the retreat. He can't be himself with her.

With someone else I think we could have seen a very different side to him, probably more animated and playful and maybe putting his foot in a bit but being allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. The whole relationship thing is just a massive learning curve for him and he doesn't feel safe enough with Rachel to even try.

And I believe Danny now, knowing that Gia is perfectly comfortable telling people outright lies to their face.

I always did believe him. He said quite specifically in his audition tape that he found women with tattoos and copious amounts of make up unattractive.

Re birds - I have Robins with babies in the hedge on one side of my garden. I love watching them bring all the bugs to feed them. They need a lot of feeding. I just hope the bloody magpies don't eat them when they fledge.

The way Rachel often grabs Stevos face with both hands when she goes in for a kiss is a bit alarming. If anyone came at me with a two handed face lock, I think I'd be a bit put off too. Even if it was luscious Jon Hamm, who is my hot crush, I think I'd be telling him to steady himself and unhand my face who am I kidding?.

I’m sure his blinking is contact lens related more than anything, and not a cue for fibs. I also think he’s very concerned about how he is portrayed, so some of his reactions are possibly controlled to the point it doesn’t look genuine.

I think the idea behind staying is just giving the idea of marriage a go - a relationship you can’t just say you’ve had enough of. It’s a different mindset to dating or even a serious relationship.

I agree that some of the matching is ropey. They should also address the issue that larger ladies and dorky guys are a possibility in the experiment. Both groups get a hard time of MAFS.
