Can't believe we're on a new thread already. Filling up so fast these days!

Brief summary:

Todd has finally left the dreadful Theo, (after he badly beat up Todd,) but Theo is not keen on leaving him alone (although he has been told to by the police.)

Carla and Lisa (Swain) are planning on getting married very shortly.

Carl has been trying to extort money out of Summer for information, as he knows Theo killed Billy. (Summer knows this now too as Theo cornered her in the shop and told her as much, threatening to 'bury her too.') Summer is - very sensibly - not giving Carl a penny until Theo is arrested!

The ghastly Megan (Trainer) seems to have vanished, so Sam is relatively safe for now, but Sam has been having hallucinations and keeps seeing Will there - coming at him - when Will is nowhere near. Toyah, Leanne, and Eva have tricked Megan into meeting her (by sending a text from the burner phone Megan gave Will, and pretending to be Will...) Not sure what they're going to do when they meet her!

Ben Driscoll has just found out the man he knew as dad is not his bio father, and Jim McDonald is actually his father (so he is.)

The effervescent Debbie is declining a little bit more by the week, but is still in fighting spirit, and is seeing Carl for the parasite he really is. The gorgeous Ronnie is always by her side. Carl has just decided to cause a flood in Debbie's hotel by leaving the taps running in one of the rooms, after she told him he was very difficult to love, and refused to let him have half the hotel after he threatened to report Ronnie to the police for hitting him.

Shona's annoying sister Jodie is causing trouble all over the place! She's stolen Lisa's police badge, and a girl she uses to be a nanny for has turned up. Jodie is not happy about this!

Probably a bit more is happening, but I'm sure it will come up soon. Smile

I thought it was Theo driving. That scared me. Then when he forgot his phone I though, brilliant, because Theo was tracking him, so he would be wrong about where Todd was.

He was not that good at it

I would have thought Gary would have more sledgehammer experience

Or more experienced at avoiding cctv! He’s managed to get away with murder before, he ought to know what he is doing.

And if there has been scaffold all around Todd’s flat, why didn’t he climb out when Theo locked him in the other week ?

I really enjoyed tonight's. Sean was dreadful.

Snap. Pretty good episode but oh my god Sean is appalling. Actor and character.

OnTheBoardwalk · 27/04/2026 22:00

I have no idea what’s going on. My thoughts

Theo owns a scaffolding firm. Todd wasn’t worried when scaffolding turned up outside his bedroom window?

when I lived on my own my call for escape would have always been something through the front window, especially if I lived above Dev’s

still what is the point of Sean?

Gary what you doing
.

It has only just gone up

DreamyJade · 27/04/2026 22:23

Todd would no way have gone to the flat on his own anyway!!

A couple of days ago he was terrified to step foot in the flat, even with George. Today he strolled in alone while he was on the phone to Eileen like he didn’t have a care in the world. It made no sense.

Gingercar · 27/04/2026 22:23

Ah right. And nobody noticed the person with a restraining order building a scaffold around the flat of the person who he was meant to be away from!! It gets stupider and stupider!!

zanahoria · 27/04/2026 22:48

Gary is The Weatherfield Thor

I get the impression all of this is a red herring, Theo is not the killer or the victim

They’re doing a different viewpoint every night this week, focusing on each of the possible victims - playing the ‘wedding day’ as it happened for each of them. Then hopefully Friday we find out who has actually been killed. But maybe they’ll keep the reveal til Monday? They did it with emmerdale recently too.

Yes this confused me too. There were a couple of inconsistencies - like there was the 'random scaffold going up around the flat one' too!!!

I don't think the episode was awful, but I did find it annoying - especially because of the 'ooooh, it's Theo AGAIN' thing going on. He just keeps popping up!!!!!! Can he not just feck off?!!! 😆 And as has been said the way Sean was acting was farcical

Also, I did laugh when Megan Trainer came running down the street - with a bloody face - and said to Fit Kit 'I have just been assaulted!' and he basically told her to f-ck off! 😂 'I'm a guest at a wedding right now, call the police!' (I wonder who attacked her?)

She stopped and looked at someone further down the street- think it was Daniel? But hadn’t Toyahrama driven past just before?

Yes I thought so too for a moment that the cab driver was Theo. Todd in the back seat appearing to feel safe at last seemed too good to be true. It WAS too good to be true and now we have to wait again while the story creeps closer to it's finale.

Can't wait 🙄

the80sweregreat · 28/04/2026 04:59

Who beat up Meghan ?
Poor Todd, I was desperate for him to get away..

sorryIdidntmeanto · 28/04/2026 06:41

I think we are supposed to suspect Toyah, as she was shown driving a van, wasn't she?

Exactly! Particularly Dev - as owner of the building wouldn't he be puzzled as to why all the scaffolding had gone up?

daysofpearlyspencer · 28/04/2026 08:46

I think the scaffolding was actually Gary's, Theo passed comment on it not being as good as his? The Sean character is just in it for the diversity quota I think, he rarely gets a story line.

DaisyStarburst · 28/04/2026 08:52

I also thought Theo was going to be the taxi driver, I was waiting for him to turn round and be Theo. If I was Todd no way would I have got out of that taxi phone or no phone.

CherryogDog · 28/04/2026 08:55

Initially I thought Theo was going to be behind the door in Eileen's house.
Then like others thought he'd be the taxi driver.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 28/04/2026 09:01

Kit conveniently strolling past when George on phone to police.

eggandonion · 28/04/2026 09:31

Megan's bloody nose looked more like a slight nosebleed. Toyah in the van several times is the sort of red herring Midsomer murders use.

We did too. We were expecting him to burst through the back door at Eileen’s. To be fair they got the dramatic intrigue right as we were all obviously jumpy, even if the plot was a bit 🤔!

Toyah-rama really would be an unexpected murderer! (although I guess even she has past form too! That street - I think Roy is the only one who hasn’t past murder experience, and even he has been charged/to prison for it!)

That made me lol. You can imagine the shot. You would see him sitting in the cockpit from behind. He’d look over his shoulder, tip his hat, wink, and say “Yarlright cocker!” to the camera, before adopting his evil face and pulling back his throttle.
